I don’t feel too hyped and excited for Marvel anymore since they have already lost their steam after the death of Stan Lee and the end of the Infinity Saga aka the golden age of MCU. Although the recent Marvel films like Black Widow, Shang Chi, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness, Thor 4: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and Deadpool and Wolverine were the only real success Marvel has, the rest of MCU films in this decade such as Eternals and Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania underperformed and The Marvels flopped big time, making it the first Marvel movie in the Cinematic Universe to be a box office bomb. As for this new Captain America film, Brave New World, it still needs to gross around $900 million or $1 billion to break even regardless on how much money they spend on the budget.
@themoviemagics369527 минут бұрын
The budget for the movie is 180 million, how the hell did you do that math? 💀Also, you basically just showed almost every MCU movie since Endgame was a success while trying to say Marvel is out of its golden era

Oh, Eric, the budget for Strange 2 is MUCH higher! $350.6 million is the NET budget. The real budget, aka the gross one, is $414.9 million. I truly believe the real budget for Cap 4 is $400 million.

You must understand that the reshoots for BNW only lasted 22 days, and the myth that there were months and months of reshoots and rewrites was false. Only three of the action scenes were changed and Giancarlo Esposito was added into the film. Therefore, the budget shouldn't have skyrocketed to such a huge number.

A lot of the articles reporting on the films budget and extensive reshoots, were proven to be unreliable, so they could have been greatly exaggerating. So, I think I might trust Marvel this time. And with reports of projection of them making 90M+ in their opening weekend, I don’t think the film will flop either. But I’ll guess we’ll see.
@thefanwithoutaface81052 сағат бұрын
Dude the point of this video is that Marvel lies constantly about the budget, so we have no reason to trust their word.
@EricCarter122 сағат бұрын
The reshoots were not exaggerated. Esposito who's in the movie said at a Panel a couple months ago that he's going back to do reshoots, countless sources including the more reliable ones were reporting that the test screenings were all done in-house and they were very disappointing. And the fact that Marvel delayed the movie a whole year further illustrates that they were re-working the movie and needed to delay it. The same thing happened to The Marvels and looks at how that budget ballooned up.

I agree that Captain America: Brave New World is going to have a hard time to get the same success as the first three Captain America movies while the new Snow White live action remake I guarantee will flop very hard just like other infamous box office bombs such as Mars Needs Mom, John Carter, Battleship, The Lone Ranger, RIPD, 47 Ronin, Legend of Oz: Dorothy Returns, Tomorrowland, Josh Trank’s god awful Fantastic Four, Live by Night, The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, Transformers 5: The Last Knight, the Han Solo movie, Mortal Engines, Dark Phoenix, Gemini Man, Terminator Dark Fate, Cats, Dolittle (2020), West Side Story (the 2021 version directed by Steven Spielberg), Lightyear, Strange World, Shazam 2, The Flash, Indiana Jones 5, Wish, Argylle, Borderlands, Joker 2, and the rest of this so called Sony’s Spider-Man Universe with the exception of the Venom trilogy

So, can you please explain to me about the difference between the budget of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the film's box office performance?
@dylanwong123Сағат бұрын
The budget Godzilla: King of the Monsters had cost $170 million and eventually grossed $387 million worldwide. While it still considered underperform and a disappointment, it was actually not a flop nor a bomb. Godzilla: King of the Monsters may have made less than Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island and so far the lowest grossing film in the MonsterVerse, it did made some profits. I do recall that Godzilla: King of the Monsters did perform well in China.
@OHaraManiaСағат бұрын
What about Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire? It had a budget of $135M and a total worldwide box office number of $571M, which is much higher than the earlier MonsterVerse films and even Kong: Skull Island. Plus, GXK is getting a sequel with a new actress named Kaitlyn Dever.

If anyone has any links, can you please send in a reply.

Honestly they were lucky with Mufasa at the box office cause of the weird release of Sonic 3 as well as its quick turnaround to digital. If it wasn’t for those factors Sonic 3 woulda definitely kicked the movies ass… But seriously what the hell was paramount thinking when putting Sonic 3 on digital earlier than expected this is like Quiet Place Day One???
@twinpinesmall7510Сағат бұрын
Well at least 2024 is still a good year for Paramount Pictures thanks to the success of Mean Girls (the musical version), Bob Marley: One Love, A Quiet Place: Day One, Smile 2, Gladiator 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 even though other Paramount movies like IF was mild and the rest like Transformers One and Better Man failed big time
