This is why signs are required to be gateposted on interstate workzones. Also the lane should’ve closed before the curve

Not enough advanced warning signs. There are signs stands with adjustable clamps to set on CTB walls that can be used when there are no shoulders. And I agree with @skyeseye7736, that closure needed to start way before that curve in order to see the arrow board.

@ByronTang Well you didn't talk about the cone that was in the middle of the road and I'm sure that was the reason for the sudden stop. Also on some locations there may be multiple turns like 3 or 4 and if the work zone is after the 3rd and fourth then to setup in a more safely matter, setup would have to start before the first turn , which would make the lane closure very long.

Um wrong… as long as the AWS are placed at the correct distance there’s no need to push back a taper because of a turn if the taper has the necessary spacing as well as the buffer space it’s all good. if you’re riding in a road with construction signs around that automatically should let you know to slow down. And in your video that center divider doesn’t have enough space to set up fabrics indicating the lane closure ahead. That’s the reason tapers and buffer zones were invited for drivers like you guys or maybe the idiot that decided to drive into the taper and almost cause a pile up .
