How NOT to Shorten a Trailer!

My buddy Derek just bought this 44' gooseneck for a screaming deal, but only wanted a 32' trailer. In one day we cut the trailer apart and welded it back together! Neither Derek nor I believe in splices in the middle of the trailer, but that is how this trailer came from it's manufacturer.

Awesome, I have been wanting to build a Crawler Hauler, however the cost of an appropriate size trailer was too much. Have no idea why I never thought of doing this. Thanks for the inspiration.

Right on! Update, trailer is still doing great and has several 2 car trips under its belt
