I watched alot of videos trying to understand how a nuclear power plant worked this is the only one that went into great detail, with amazing explenation, Thanks!

Hey dude, sorry, but in fission process one Uranium atom does not split into two Uranium atoms. This is nonsense. Most commonly it splits into Barium and Krypton atoms, but other splits are also possible.

At 4:24 time stamp: the graphic should say 150 time higher pressure instead of lower to keep the water from boiling
@volcof18 ай бұрын
Correct. So high pressure keep the water from boiling.

Baryon conservation is all kind of messed up in this one too. You can't split an uranium nucleus into 2 uranium nuclei. For the most part when fission happens it split to two asymetric (by mass, and nucleon distribution) fission product and some neutrons (function of incident neutron energy as well as the fissile material 1

I'm a power island operator at a thermal power plant. Nuclear power plants are very new and unknown to us. What I'm curious about is whether there are LP and HP heaters like in traditional plants.

cool, so nuclear power plants are glorified steam engines

Most, but not all PWRs use fission, not fusion?
@williamsplays8528 Жыл бұрын
all of them use fission. I was confused by this too xD. There are no fusion reactors that work yet.
@riazhussain174521 күн бұрын
Because we need very high pressure and very high temperature to do that reaction...but if we achieve that kind of high pressure and temperature we still don't know how to control the reaction@@williamsplays8528

One uranium atom decays into two uranium atoms? What a stupidity.
@remyscar11 ай бұрын
does it turn into half an atom of uranium or does it turn into barium and krypton and lose its uranium mass? I can't find much specific information about this
@tiagomoraes91508 ай бұрын
came here to say this. It decays into Kr and Ba

I LOVE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS BUT NOT IF THEY BUILD JUST LESS than 10% off the good efforts It's NOT energy it's force of might #australianroyalairforce #princeharry ? Just think HOW MANY STEPS you need to get the right angle shot for a triangle ▶️ of three sides at same lengths off a line You and your atoms hahaha
