My World, Until It Sleeps, King Nothing, Devil’s Dance, Cyanide, Suicide & Redemption, Rebel of Babylon, Spit Out the Bone, Sleepwalk My Life Away, Inamorata. Some of those have drums, but so do some of the ones in this video.

Why did you go out of your way to say *technically* if technically half of these aren't technically the bass by itself???

Cliff... what a legend he was.

Unpopular opinion here but i really think Jason had a much better grasp at making the bass work with the other instruments than cliff did

It isn't a competition, clown.
@lowfrequencywizard6 күн бұрын
That’s a fair point imo. Cliff was very strong when it came to composing and arranging (since he also had a lasting influence on James in that regard), but Jason’s aggressive tone and style served the music way better in a functional way. Cliff was very fast for a fingerstyle player, but Jason could really lock in with the guitar riffs in a really tight and effortless way that made everything just sound massive.

technically leper messiah has a little bass thingy in the intro just really quiet, the rough mix has it louder

0:17 orion intro is NOT BASS! it's an electric organ (most likely hammond) with distortion, other bands such as Eloy did the same thing way before Metallica
