This is why I refer truckers to your show. You can talk, your setup is great, you teach and provide entertainment. Thanks for all you do. ❤🎉

RA your fledgling trucker here again: I am in trucking school @160driving academy rn. I back up 8 times in 4 hours practicing for the state test. 4 time to practice straight backing in the exam box then 4 more times offsetting the damn truck. Now I aint perfected backing but i know how to back up i know how to offset like a boss. Its strict ASF here at the school i go to dont get me wrong it be sloppy but not when it come to what you need to know. Im 96 hours in i got 140 more to go. I learned to back tips and tricks and my offset and back up trainer Jabarri made me straight back over and over until i could see and pick out my own mistakes without him saying a word! Im glad i chose this school with some of the stories im hearing frfr

Running 8:45 a day doesn’t make you more money because everyone no matter what still has the same amount of hours to drive, the guy who runs 11 hours a day is doing 100+ more miles everyday so it’s all the same the only advantage running 8:45 a day gives you is that you never have to take a 34 hour break but by the end of the week the driver pushing 11 a day has the same amount of drive time as the 8:45 driver

Most trainers just want you to drive and that’s it…

They both are to blame. Trainer know he should train them and if the trainee doesn’t feel comfortable backing they should let the company know. Companies like Swift has special classes that teach backing for 8 hrs. That’s all they do. Trainer makes an appt for you to go to that class and trust me you will know how to back after that class if your trainer couldn’t teach you.

Not going to front its a conflict of intrest having to report to a boss when you have your own license, backing is the smallest thing in trucking. Its the other drivers that suck.
