Sadly the love for the land isn't held by most of the festival-goers. The sanctimonious hypocrites treat the land like a garbage dump.

Hmmm. This was not my experience at all. I found that everyone was very much on board and excited about conscious use and environmental protections.

All the years about learning about the problems in the environment, and the greatest irony is that people coming to Glastonbury have to be told to be environmentally friendly. The whole ethos of what was once a hippy festival, and the young people and families just don't get it. What happened? Do we have to drag Sting and Peter Gabriel out again, like we did in the 80's, to teach them?
