I’m thinking that Callum will use its power to trap Aaravos into a coin like Viren used the diamond in his staff to trap Runaan, Tiadrin, Lain, and Kpp’ar

Viren didn't need a quasar diamond to cast the spell. Presumably callum wouldn't either if he were to go that route. Personally i think it will be used to get king harrow back.

@@TheSabataish I thought so too at first but when I watched the scene in episode 5 with Viren and Kpp’ar and watched him use the staff to cast it. Will need to go back to season 1 and see if he uses the staff too when trapping Runaan in the coin to see if it was a one time thing or consistent

Yeah, they suck. My theory is they did it out of fear. This story seems very similar to that of Prometheus from Greek mythology. They're concerned about maintaining their power as gods, or preventing fickle and chaotic humans from becoming gods. They know that humans aren't shackled like the elves, who can only bind to one arcanum. They can learn all the arcanums. Having mere mortals with access to greater power than them makes them afraid of the chaos the humans could cause. So they overreact to deter anyone from giving primal magic to humans. Also, Dark magic doesn't count because it's inherently balanced. It's sacrificial in nature and can never destabilize things the way that limitless primal magic could do.

Agreed. But remember we only have Aaravos' version of what happened. And he's not exactly a reliable narrator. But I'm also not convinced he's a baddy beyond redemption. Season 7 will be interesting. And I sure hope we get the other 3 seasons, this world hasn't exhausted its stories yet.

Okay that is just brilliant! I used to think that there is a book for each Primal source just from looking at the posters. But after seeing Aaravos use the cube to make the blank book into the Earth book, I know now that isn’t the case! Great job figuring out the cube!

I just finished Season 6 and I feel that your theory about the book and the cube makes sense, I also think that's where some clues about the star saber might be found because we know from when Callum and Rayla visited the Star Scraper that the star Saber was gifted to a young girl, I believe that she may be The Orphan Queen as we know that she was the one that brought Aarovs's trickery to light and had him sealed away.

The Key of Aaravos could be leading Callum to Aaravos' home where he raised his daughter or that book that we saw Aaravos used the Key to unlock the primal sources arcanum,but hopefully we find out in season 7.

I think that Elarion came much later than Aaravos' home. Elarion is right next to the sea of the castout, it would probably have been blown to rubble when Leola dropped in and created the crater. Also, Aaravos has a history with Elarion, and the mages who lived there. Ziard got the staff from him. Ooh, now that I'm on that point: The staff of Ziard! At the starscraper, there were seven(!) pilllars in which there were staffs, extremely similar to this one. Only one was missing. So, five others are obvious, the other five sources. But the seventh..... what does that correspond to? Ancient magic? Dark magic? Light magic?

Aaravos has mastered all 6 Primal Sources. That means he could use the True 7th Source: The Energy Primal, the Primal Source that connects all other sources together (note that The Energy Primal is my original idea). The Energy Primal has the same power & abilities as Dark Magic, however, while Dark Magic is corrupting both physically and spiritually, the Energy Primal does all the abilities Dark Magic can do with none of the downsides. Dark Magic is easy to use and quick to the point, while the Energy Primal can only be acquired once one has mastered all 6 regular Primal Sources. Also, if one who uses Dark Magic tries to cast a Magic spell against an Energy Primal weirder, the energy primal wielder can use his magic to absorb the Dark Magic spell, like how Light overpowers Dark.

Great Breakdown! I'm still torn between it pointing to the Ocean Point or Elarion, since just minor adjustments could alter the end location. You pointed out though how the Ocean Point does have a Star Symbol which was still left unexplained until now... I can't wait to disect anything we could use as hints for either. Great Video! Also, pleaseeee I don't want to have Callum learn all arcanums :(

I think Callum would use the book to learn more about Aarovos and star touched elves instead of using the time to master all the arcanums. Just because there is a time crunch and also I doubt Callum would feel comfortable just studying while the world is in chaos. Hopefully it tells him how to reach the cosmic counsel so that he might be able to call for help from them (that is if they don’t hate him for a being a human mage)

My theory about what inspired Aaravos to master all six primal magics is that he went to the Avatar The Last Airbender world and after being inspired by the avatar and his or her's 4 bending arts.

Random idea: the Key of Aarovos is the key to his house. Idk where I got the thought from or why I thought of it. It would kinda make sense? But the key also allows access to the book, so probably not. Its just a theory 🤷‍♀️

I theorize Aaravos made the book himself, he made it and he doccumented and learned the primal sources. Maybe be wants Callum to discover it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a diary which could persuade Callum to sympathizing with Aaravos (especially the mustsche Aaravos drawing)

So If the next season, Callum and Rayla travel to Ocean Point to found the book, Callum would become the first human archmage in Xadia but he will the knowledge for the good not for power.

@@hannahburke7328 something I connected the markers on the maps too in how they draw the lines to connect to a certain point on a map. The Curse of Oak Island tv show on the history channel hired Cartographers and Astronomers who used this method to point markers (Nolan’s Cross Boulders) and in some cases they even these markers in alignment with certain stars to further single out a connection to a singular point on a topographical map. The literal X marks the spot. Using real life science and astronomy in a cartoon is so cool to me to see!

I don't think that killing/defeating Aaravos is the way to go. All the problems in the show can be traced back to the other star touched elves and their desire for order. I think callum will unleash a darkness that will shield all of Xadia from their gaze and their influence. He will become a Dark mage that hold the stars at bay so that their might does not come crashing down on the people of Xadia. I also think Aaravos will be the one to guide him to this position.

We still don’t really know what Aaravos is trying to accomplish… So, perhaps 6:40 he doesn’t need to be defeated, but rather joined. But this just speculation. The only clues we have regarding his goals are that giving magic to humans broke the cosmic order (we have no idea what this really is) and his daughter lost her life for this; she gave magic to humans out of kindness. This causes his life to take on new purpose, presumably, I assume, related to changing the cosmic order (maybe making humans equals?). Now this complete speculation: we are shown that startouch elves can actually kill another of their kind, and have already done so disobeying the cosmic order by giving magic to humans. Now, Aaravos has been breaking it for 1000 years by puppet mastering all of Xadia. Could it all be done in secrecy is because Aaravos is trying to keep his actions hidden from the council?

Can you PLEASE make a theory about what Virens staf actually is? I mean it cannot be a coincidence that at the star scraper there were the exact same stafs and one was missing? 🧐😲 (stones had different colours but they were the exact same shape) I even think about if the Nova blade is actually that staf... Makes not that much sense, but since thr Nova blade was already given to humans it is probably not just sitting in a corner somewhere in the human kingdoms...

What if-- The cube can bu used in the book with like the symbol of the star arcane and because the book reveals all knowledge about the arcanes, Callum could find out what the permanent way of killing a startouched elf is?? I mean, if the book knows all, then it would know that right? Because all other knowledge about startouched elves has not been discused?

Three more season after 7 sound slogocal even though at some point it was stated directly there would be 7. Considering how relatively little can happen in one season and it took 5 for Aaravos to be freed having him defeated in one seems way too rushed.

I did the linings as well, i dont know if would be anywhere else because the rectangle shape ‘s (the storm spire) line is headed straight south, and the ruins of elarion are more south west , Spoilers for season 6 edit: I just found out that Leola gave magic first to the people in elarion with primal sources, so if the whole ‘key pointing to its lock’ theory is correct, then the arrows would be pointing to elarion

Personally I wonder if the origin of dark magic is originally from the book, like the book holds the arcanum for all magic and is the source of dark magic, and the reason that Callum learned 2 arcanum's after being subjected to dark magic, like not only being thrown into the depths of his soul during a critical moment, but dark magic itself is the unbridled and mixed up version of all the other magics which is only accessed though the book being opened though a method other then the key.
