Fun Fact: There was an earlier (non-parody) song called "In Search of Diamonds" released in November 2010, which I believe is the absolute first Minecraft fan song. | My first Minecraft song was "It's Herobrine!" by BLAH BLAH BLAH Gaming. It's impressive to remember that Jordan animated both TNT and Revenge (with help). I believe he also created the note block instrumental for TNT. One has to commend his effort. I think we all miss the 2011-2014 "golden age" of Minecraft content and parodies, (before they all got copyrighted to oblivion and people stopped making them). I think Jordan is to thank for that. I really wish I'd tried to make one back in the day.

This was a great video... I started playing Minecraft in 2010 myself so I was pretty much there for all of Captainsparklez influence - its fair to say though that he's not retired from the minecraft scene, he streams most days on his Twitch channel, often including Minecraft content and those streams get edited down and posted on his "Captainsparklez 2" youtube channel (which just itself recently hit a million subs) pretty much daily. So its fair to say he's still relatively popular, he's just changed up the way he does his content.

Dude I have been interacting with his stuff since like 2014, he has genuinely affected the way I have grown up into the person I am today. Such a cool content creator, he deserves to be the one that has lasted through all this time. I remember when Minecraft had its downtrend and he started all his different channels but still stuck with Minecraft. Honestly, his main channel stopping with Minecraft content doesn't bother me that much either, because I mainly watched the uncut vods anyway.

Crazy to think that I started playing Minecraft on 1.2.4, and found CaptainSparklez songs not long after. Hard to believe it's been over 10 years since then.... Minecraft- and Cap's music saw me through a broken engagement, and once again after a decade rediscovering those songs and some newer ones helped me through being abandoned by my wife and having my son taken. Kids I was helping raise back then are becoming adults next year, and some of their key memories of me are literally me listening to Cap's songs while playing Minecraft on a laptop.

I think a lot of people fail to realize who actually brought Minecraft back on its feet (11:40) Pewdiepie wasn’t who did it. Jschlatt released a video “A tribute to Minecraft” right before PewDiePies Minecraft video. Everyone I knew across the world heard of the video even if they didn’t know Jschlatt. Everyone started talking about the video and remembering the good times AND THEN PewdiePie made his video, so with the thought in mind and everyone thinking already THE WORLD RETURNED to Minecraft. It wasn’t “PEWDIEPIE” it was “JSCHLATT” who go the ball rolling. Now I love Pewdiepie and have watched his content since Phas, but the data shows it wasn’t him to started the ball push he just got that perfect kick/shove/launch (and being as big as he’s been) it helped get more traction
