My theory is similar to the last one that was mentioned in that the Onward and Monster Inc. universe are on the same planet but in different corners of the planet/world. So it would be interesting to know if the Monster and the Fairy Tale creatures interact in some way or if they are distant and/or divided by conflict.

One thing which now is making me old is looking at the animation for November third 2001’s Monsters Inc and Onward. I was five versus now 24 years old, I was scared, and thought Sully and Mike also Randall were real at five to eight years old. The animation was darker as well as bright making the film contrast of humorous, friendly, gritty, mysterious, and horrifying. Monster’s Inc was a step in right direction for the company to utilize contrasts, textures, new shading techniques, washed out colour pallets, and different story elements of a comedy action horror again and mystery with a scheme. The plot was confusing as a child with understanding Waternoose’s motive to kidnap until the end. He now seems greedy also selfish with only thinking wants best for his company than his employees beyond Randall or Sully. Possibly it was confusing as a child for being scared of the CDA, scared of Randall, and scared of Sully’s scare technique as a child. Boo was a plot device. It is funny that the monsters are more frightened by child’s touch being toxic. Another plot device was the doors and the simulatron’s bedroom. The horror elements are from the scream extractor scene. One question where did Boo get that baseball bat to hit Randall severe times unconsciously?

I agree with Super Carlin Bros theory. AN Axiom crashed on an alien planet full of magic. The magical creatures learned about technology through reverse engineering. It takes place between Wall-E and A Bug's Life.

I always had a problem with the time travel portion of this theory connected to Monster's Inc. due to the fact that the world's conflict is that kids at the time were becoming harder to scare. If it really is time travel then why couldn't they just scare kids from a time when scare was more plentiful?

I see your point but I don't think the monsters themselves really are aware that they're traveling through time, and not space. I don't think they fully understand the magic involved in their own technology. To them, it's just another world.

@@TheSeleneSeipher It's not a claim, it's my thoughts. When we watch Monsters Inc. we don't see monsters clearly proven to be aware that they're time travelling or mention time travel. The way I see it there are three ways to interpret that. There is the interpretation that they're not time travelling, but space travelling. That is probably the intention from Pixar, and most likely true. But it doesn't support the Pixar theory, and is frankly a quite boring interpretation. There is also the interpretation that they're time travelling, but believe they're space travelling. That is my interpretation and is compatible with the Pixar theory. There is also the interpretation that they're aware that they're time travelling but just not talking about it for some reason. That is compatible with the Pixar theory but also, due to reasons you mentioned, quite stupid.

I’ve been saying Onward fits in the very beginning. Instead of Boo ending up in Brave, she actually ends up in Onward and learns how to harness this magic. That or someone tries to destroy the planet and it goes into multiple different smaller planets INCLUDING Earth. The rest of the theory is the same, but it changes it up slightly. The magic from Onward runs through the entirety of the Pixar Universe

What if onward world is similar to the coco afterlife, its a realm made real by our immagination. It has grown alongside humanity with the dreams and ideas of ours siphoning into it. Pizza planet was the idea of someone in the human world, and such it made its way over to onward. It is our most magical side, our immagination, our stories, dreams and aspirations. But as humanity has grown so too has our immagination and dreams changed too and it has changed the onward realm.

One thing I don't approve of in the film is how the unicorns are portrayed as rabid animals instead of intelligent creatures like in My Little Pony. It's as if Pixer, and in large part Disney, is flipping "the finger" at Hasbro and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (along with bronies)!

It's just a visual gag that every creature became something that is equal to something in our modern world. So unicorns became overpopulated and ended up being equal to racoons. Just like pixies became a motor cycle bike gang, a manticore became a family restaurant owner, a centaur became a police officer...etc etc....
