Gotta admit, this video pulled a few tears out of my eyes, especially when referencing the "taps" chords that lay deceased veterans to their rest. Didn't expect that out of a video game music theory. Well done!

Holy shit. I always knew, even as a kid, that I'd heard the specific arrangement of notes somewhere before from oot kakariko. You mentioning the taps chords are exactly what my child mind all those years ago was thinking about. I've never solved that until now. That is genius. Thank you!

Just recently my house mate was listening to windfall while we were doing chores. As I was humming along I sudden exclaimed in explicitives yelling how windfall echoed Kakoriko and how mad I was that it took me a decade to hear it. I'm glad I wasn't going mad.

I love this ! It's always hard to follow music theory videos when you don't know much about it, because most people sort of assume that if you're watching a music theory video, then you have to already know music theory. But the way you briefly and clearly explain things and how you manage to not break the video's flow with said explanations is just awesome !

I love the connection to musical themes and real life or in-game themes like the lighthouse and dire dire docks landing on the 1. I would love to see some ocarina of Time videos. the main theme, Kaepora Gaebora's theme, Zelda's lullaby, and Zora's domain jump out to name a few. the ocarina melodies would also be rad. basically all of it. PS I Loved the Taps/Kakariko theme tie-in, I don't know how I never realized that.

What an analysis! It's so neat just how much can be pulled from "just" a bit of music! By the way, on a lighter note, I think the 8-bit Sonic games could use some love! Sonic 1's different compositions for some of the same areas as its 16-bit counterpart could be neat to take apart, as an example, given that its composer was Yozo Koshiro instead of Masato Nakamura.

I do believe once you get into Undertale and Deltarune's leitmotifs and composition choices, you'll get the rightful eyes on your content as people have a hankering for that sort of stuff for that series. Those songs are chock full of lore significance but also have huge lessons on transforming character motifs to fit the mood of the story.

Loving the video editing and insight in the channel. I have to disagree a bit how you see the I7 chord when moving to IV, as the more commonly used term is V7, or dominant seventh chord, which is what is happening in all of these cases. The I7 -> IV movement is just V7/IV -> IV , so it's easier to see the chord as a Dom.7 of the IV.
