I suppose if the question is the input, and the answer is the output, then the language model becomes a rationale model? And when it gets the answer wrong and it gets a hint, it's using back propagation to adjust the rationale model?

you'd think if really grokked things all n digit additions after some n would result in similar outcomes due to understanding what a child does about just adding and carrying digit pairs for any n digit addeneds. i mean adding 2 100 digit numbers is principle no more complex a process than adding two 3 digit numbers

This approach still only teaches the data set to the AI. This only shows that the current approach doesn't capture the data well and so this additional training is needed. It doesn't teach the AI anything the data set doesn't already have.

@@__D10S__agreed I think under the current paradigm, having a single super intelligence is not realistic. However have a bunch of very intelligent agentic AIs communicating and learning from one another 24/7 is where impressive things start happening. An AI doesn’t need to have god like intelligence to be useful.
