👇ABOUT US
We are Lia and AK, and we're excited to share our journey with you as we navigate the world of property investing, business, and working together as a couple.
AK: I left my corporate job after experiencing mental and physical health issues, and we started our KZbin channel to document our journey as new property investors in 2019 with no upfront capital. Expect weekly videos where we provide project updates, share best practices, money-saving tips, and our learnings along the way.
Lia: With nearly a decade of experience building my own entertainment channel on KZbin from 0 to over 330k followers, the unpredictable nature of a content creator's monthly income took a toll on my mental health. Starting my property journey was my way of future-proofing my income and creating a stable, regular source of revenue. Ultimately, my goal is to build a secure financial foundation for our future family.
Our goal is to make property investing accessible and understandable by sharing our story. We're passionate about inspiring others to take control of their lives, no matter what challenges they may face.
Join us on our journey to achieve a better work-life balance through property investing. We're committed to sharing our experiences, tips, and insights to help you on your own journey.

My “beliefs” about money don’t actually start with money. They start with understanding the true difference between want & need…and priorities. I have never had cable TV…it wasn’t a need & I’ve saved so much money over the years by not taking on that bill. Cars aren’t a priority to me. My car is over 20 yrs old & was given to me. It still has less than 100k miles & runs great, so I won’t spend money to replace something I already have. Again, saving tons of money by not having a car payment for over 20 yrs…and I have a car fund ready to buy a car with cash when the car I have is no longer reliable. Other people consider their car to be a priority & want a new car frequently. Captivating video! Love the conversation between you two & the spark to ignite the conversation for others! ❤

Also, how cool that you both bring such different and helpful skills to the relationship and the business. I know that means you each have your difficulties but it seems that your strengths in this topic really do compliment each others. With good communication, it is such a great combo.

Oh wow, I really find this whole conversation between the two of you super fascinating. I've been conscious of how I was raised financially, And how other people in my life have been raised, but it's always Interesting to hear Outside perspectives. It helps us reflect on our own again. I love when people are able to do the Deep dive like that into what shapes their beliefs, values, morals, and especially unpack and let go of whatever doesn't serve them anymore. Any follow-up conversations you do on this kind of thing would be really interesting as well. Thank you for being willing to be vulnerable about that with us, have a fabulous Sunday.

My parents were from the "depression era" (US 1930s) and the WWII rationing. I learned the value of keeping things for a long time and the savings of fix and repair instead of replacing, reusing instead or pitching. My mother was left orphaned, and her 19 year old sister had to take care of 3 siblings... during the depression. In order to prove to the court she was handling her money, a trust was set up and she had to write down every cent she spent for the month, including income from working as an elevator operator obtain cash from the trust. That is were I learned the "envelope method" of budgeting, where you place all your cash in an envelope and log your cash withdraws on the envelope. I may not use an envelope, but have a spreadsheet where do my budgeting.

This is such an important topic and it’s amazing how much money beliefs affect and shape decisions, and quite frankly your life! I wish I recognized this sooner in my life. It’s another great video guys! Thanks for sharing 😊

Very interesting, Lia and Ach. It's so good that you've had these sorts of conversations with each other. My parents grew up during the Depression and it definitely affected their money outlooks for the rest of their lives but in slightly different ways. Fortunately for us, my husband and I share similar views on our finances, again with some differences. I'd enjoy further exploration on this topic.
