I loved Dr Gupta on the Joe Rogan Podcast when he was confronted for calling Ivermectin Horse Dewormer. The Media lies soo much and are rarely held accountable.

Don’t trust Dr. Gupta, who seems only interested in profit. Ozempic hasn’t made any real difference. The best solution is a whole-food, plant-based diet-it’s not only healthier but also promotes longevity and is low cost

You're explaining a long-term solution to a problem that has acute and long-term presentations. Yes people will need long-term solutions to maintain a healthy weight and health going forward, but many unhealthily overweight people need help immediately as well. And this medication does that.

@pureounce.9184 It's too bad that everyone just throws the kitchen sink at ppl med-wise - literally for effect. I wonder about whether this stuff could possibly work fir ppl more "effectively" if doses were quartered or lessened by more, even. By "effectively", I'm not meaning weight loss fast, but weight loss consistently as people attempt to gain control over their portion sizes and healthy choices.

I have lost 100 pounds going plant based. No more diabetes or fatty liver, which I got from keto. I always ask people to name one doctor doing keto who is now in their 90s and still working. No one can name one. I can quickly name two plant based doctors in their 90s still working.

they said the same thing about the printing press, automobiles, and microwave ovens, and personal computers, and the list goes on. freeing up time and effort to achieve similar (or better) results frees up human time to be more productive in other things. things that are more important to them, to society and the even the species. this has been true for centuries.

Rashida sounds like a smart woman. She looked at the side effects and decided the risks outweighed the perceived benefits and made a choice. But when she saw that Covid changed her risk profile, she decided the benefits now outweighed the risk and went forward with treatment. If only most people were as logical and rational as Rashida, we would have a better world

No you do not need Ozempic. I lost 25lbs by cutting my intake in half. Cutting my fat intake too. My A1C dropped to 5.1. My cholesterol is now normal. I weigh 118 lbs.I weighed that at 18. I am 56. I have changed my lifestyle. I have 3 kinds of Arthritis, fibromyalgia and a back injury. I had to do something. I am alredy on a lot of meds. I did not want to add more. If you have willpower you can do it. I was a foodie. If I can do it anyone can.

Ozempic or not I look at obesity as a person admitting to giving up, losing all forms of self respect, and choosing to let society pay to cure the accompanying illnesses.

If you think most people would actively choose to be unhealthy, rather than being wrapped up in their own personal difficulties plus an incredibly unhealthy food culture that they were raised in as well as a current incredibly unhealthy food environment. Then you're a moron. Just because you can do something easier than others (like maintaining a healthy weight), doesn't make it easy for everyone.

I hate these either, or videos -- e.g., whether the GLP1 drugs are beneficial or dangerous. In fact, this is about science versus crackpot diet gurus. These drugs are indeed game-changers as both doctors and medical researchers point out repeatedly. The only ones who oppose these drugs are those promoting their own maverick ideas and who are at the same time selling worthless supplements or worthless diet advice.

My daughter and her friends, in their 20’s, use it to fine tune their body weight and it is very popular, the savings on food & drink avoided covers the cost of the injections. It’s down to where you stand on the Food & Drink industrial complex vs Pharma - a no-brainer from my pov looking on.
