In Pennsylvania we have all types of packaging. Foil bags, Plastic jars, class jars, The concentrate comes in glass squares or plastic and they are inside little boxes. Then my favorite are the cat food cans. The companies that use these cat food cans always have good bud. They have a pull top just like cat food. They seal them with nitrogen to keep freshness. Ive gotten those cans that have been a year old with perfect bud in them. If you got your bud in cat food cans I want that. 😂

In AR the tuna can packs aren’t any better than the glass jars or mylars. I hate them bc the seal on the lid itself sucks once you open the can and older ppl have cut themselves or broken it and had to use plyers to open it.

In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally. Good times! All were positive, fun, spiritual experiences. But, it's been decades. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who can get psychedelics from. I live in LA & there's a Kush store three blocks from my house, but I can't function alone on weed. I wish they sold psilocybin gummies. I'm a little depressed & a little anxious on a regular basis. I'm not a big drinker and I hate taking pills. When I used to work at Panera Bread we had recycling in the dining room but it always went in the same dumpster. One time this woman asked me which bin to put her recyclable in and I told her it doesn’t matter. She then told me “oh it does matter.” :/ No actually lady it really doesn’t matter because the business doesn’t care and it all goes to the same place. It was embarrassing because I care about the planet!

I live in california. When it was still medical only here (before recreational passed), all the flower was in big glass jars and you could pick your specific buds from the jar and then they'd weigh it and put it in a little screw-top plastic jar. It wasn't pre-sealed. Now, yeah everything is pre-sealed in plastic. But at least they got rid of the requirement that all purchases (even if they were already a sealed container) needed to be placed in child-proof thick plastic ziplock bags to leave the store. That was a rule right after recreational passed and the bags were like a 3-5$ deposit and they were 'reusable' but only if you brought it back to that same dispo. They couldn't be re-used or recycled at another dispo. I still have a bunch of those fuckin bags even they they are no longer required. Recreational low key ruined a lot of things: higher prices, promotions, no free samples, raffles, giveaways. No more free gifts for new customers. One dispo (during the medical-only times) used to have a wheel of fortune you'd spin to win free prizes with every purchase. That's gone. If you are in a medical-only state and it's easy to get the medical card: keep it that way! Don't go recreational!

The dispensary I go to in Arizona lets me bring in my own glass jars. I buy an Oz at a time. At 62 y/o, its so nice to be able to pick between pain relief, energy enhancement, or nap time couch lock. Naps are needed as I still ride Race Bikes. Like my Honda XR650R in the desert with the grandkids. Sometimes into town to the dispensary. Even made a custom carrier for the back of my RV I just push it up there and take it with me.

Back in Florida's early flower days late 2018 early 2019, Vidacan and Rise had nice glass jars. I have managed to save 3 of them and still reusing them. Places really need to go back to glass. S.S. uses mylar bags for flower. I've had a lot of older dried out flower lately while hitting all the sales. I always end up putting it into glass jars and using my dewbie stone to rehydrate it then its good.

I smoke a lot of dabs and buy quite a lot at a time and EVERY time i buy any, its always FIFTEEN tiny little glass pucks holding only one gram when they can easily fit 3 times as much without affecting the package opening. And the shops around me do offer a few options for 15g buckets but those are usually always sold out and usually twice the price of getting the million tiny pucks because they'll have a deal on it. The 15g buckets are usually well over $100 meanwhile the deal gets you the exact same amount of just as good concentrate for $100 out the door. It's almost like they want to sell more of the wasteful packaging.

I'm in Oregon. I have two different places that I go to.. for upper mids prepackaged by the dispensary/diff. farms half/oz in glass jars that you bring back for a discount at 7 jars. The place I go for top shelf I get two quarters and they come from big glass jars that they store the bulk in and it goes into a thin small plastic container that does not have any excess but also doesn't really seal very well I like to bring it home and put it in glass with boveda or cannador with vaporbeads to keep humidity in check. I have two cannadors.

My first legal card was when it was medical only in California, then recreational California, and now I live in Washington- the packaging has gotten worse and worse over time. It is so wasteful and it drives me nuts. Giant jars and giant caps and all kinds of plastic that seem largely decorative and not made for accessibility. I even have Ridwell and most of the weed packaging can’t be recycled by them either. Some growers use these huge jars for an eighth where another grower would have a quarter in the same size jar. It is are real problem imho, for freshness, for environmental impact, and for keeping your home stash not a messy disaster. Glad to see you talking about it!

The smoke shop in my area has a great deal on diamonds, 3.5 grams for $40, which is the same price as a gram for all their other concentrates.But it comes in this thin crappy plastic container, so whenever I get a gram of concrete in a glass container like the one you showed in the video I save them and reuse them for my diamonds.

Here in Arkansas is mostly prepack glass jars, mylars most w a clear window to see the bud, and a few dispos have plastic pill or push top bottles. We do have baller jars but we also sell .3 carts 😂 at least we can get 1 oz packs but they are more rare. i usually stick to the $15-25 eighths. I like the glass jars, ones that have the thick rubber seal seem to be freshest.

The good green popcorn bags that I can pick up from dispos here in Virginia are pretty nice but there are some companies like G-Leaf that sell their concentrate in this really dope ceramic dish with an easy on and off cap that is really dope I've found myself discontinuing to use those over and over again because they're solid they're ceramic and I don't have to worry about the lid not being on or whatever that shit shuts real easy

Im a custodian at a school and we dont recycle a majority of the stuff unless its just straight a cardboard box. The reasoning is the recycle place wont take anything that has liquid all over it and what not and getting the kids to not put drinks in the recycle thing just doesn't work. Everything I purchase at the dispo goes straight into a glass mason jar w/ a bodiva pack. Dispo jars don't seal properly and childproof mylar ziplocks are super annoying. In my state they are required by law to put your order into a bag which has staples in it so the bag isn't recyclable either.

as a recreational california consumer i like the way things are set up. it’s like walking into a candy store. you also get what you pay for, i keep all of my nice jars but i toss all non glass packaging. when i’m buying concentrate /flower on a budget, i’d rather spend less and get still quality product but in plastic / silicone so it’s cheaper. because i have nice glass jars from when i splurged and i can put my new product in my old containers. i like the mylar bags cuz sometimes i like to buy a lot of different 1/8ths and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

I live in Michigan, here I am under 21 but I have medical card so I can still shop being 19, but they have to be medical stores, and recently our local shop in my town was bought out by a massive Colorado corporation Livwell, they still have a medical license, they refuse to use it, so it sent me to a new place called Greenpharm, not necessarily a mom and pop shop but it’s an hour and a half a way and they 3 shops compared to a giant production and the quality there so much better, they prepackaged crap there but the main selling point is mason jarred but that is great

I reuse all my containers. I have a really nice glass jar that I got from a pre-packaged 8th from a state brand (Narvona for you Michigan stoners), came in a neat little cardboard box to keep it out of the sunlight, great little thing. I kept it and now whenever I finish a strain I put that last little bit, maybe half a joint worth in there and mix it all together for a nice weed salad. The plastic pill bottle like containers I usually end up getting I empty the ash from my bowls into, as well of the scraps of paper towel I use to clean my glass with. They still end up in a landfill, so it;s not a perfect solution, but at least im not just one and done-ing it, i at least fill it with stuff that needed to go to a landfill anyway....

Recycling is helpful in theory but in practice its actually used to shift blame from those who make all the plastic crap to the consumers, even though most of the time its not made available to the public. They slap a please recycle sticker on it and all of a sudden it's not the company's fault if the plastic ends up in the ocean because the consumer didn't recycle

At dispos near me generally 1/8ths and q’s come in glass jars and a half or an ounce will come in a big childproof ziplock

Concentrates are almost always in glass containers too and sometimes the same glass jars they use for 1/8th but will like a q of oil in them

The plastic containers is probably why the cost is so much higher. Michigan just gives you a big version of the 8th baggies. And yk our prices are pretty damn good

They sell concentrates in .25 G in my state. Not complaining, Im just barried in cannatrash😢 Great video! 🎉

Luckily in my state we can get it packaged in ounces, with way less plastic. My state uses glass, or rarely, opaque plastic jars. There’s only one dispo I’ve been to that gave me 8 prepackaged 1/8s. The packaging in my state is also a little more attractive, usually a sleek black with logos, like in Cali or colorado.

Arkansas has great packages and concentrate containers from med dispos that are glass and mylar
