Last time I visited Black Site Studio for a facility tour video like this, your feedback was that you wanted to hear more from the staff. I'm happy to say that I was able to include that in this video! Was it the right amount? If you haven't see the last facility tour video, you can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n56WemN-i6ZkrKs

Love the insight. Small nitpick when you are recording in a loud area maybe rerecord the audio back home dub it over and add some industrial background noise to that way you don't have to yell during those parts

Of course, let's be careful here. The key here is that 'the robot replaces human workers'. If those workers don't find human-centric jobs, they have to change companies. If you imagine that most companies in the Western world will function like this by 2030, you realise that a large number of Western jobs will be replaced, leaving millions without work or the required IQ and/or education to simply switch to the jobs that are open or else newly created. This is the great lie of this entire revolution, that new jobs will appear and everybody will fill them. This lie will become unworkable over the next 8 years, and then we'll all be talking about how to fix it. As it stands, many are sitting around thinking that it's a non-issue. But, again, you can come back to me over the next 8 years or so. The WEF just reported that A.I. will replace 25% of jobs in the near future, and we just saw thousands of workers replaced by A.I. at various major tech and other companies, as A.I. and A.I.-driven robots can simply do their jobs now (text-based jobs, simple tasks, and almost anything digital). Once we factor in self-driving cars and more advanced robots (without A.I.), we realise that most jobs may not exist by 2040 or 2050. Already, we are seeing Gen-Z struggle in the job market due to a lack of required IQ and skills, as the entire market becomes more tech-driven and IQ-based (meaning, every job is becoming more complex and requires smarter people). Although America has 7 million jobs open (at least, last time I checked), many are unworkable for most or deeply undesirable, and require that you move 200 or even 2,000 miles from your home. This is a problem as more homeless and jobless stack up (which has been happening for half a decade now). 'Working from home' has become a big thing since 2020, but we are now starting to see some women complain about the negatives of this, as many of us predicted (despite early claims that it was perfect without problems and actually even better than working at the office or otherwise). As even more data comes in, and we see an entire generation trapped inside, we'll see even more negative outcomes and psychological issues. Over time, the economy itself will begin to fall, income will suffer, and human innovation. Already, many experts say this is happening to America, and that the future is with China and non-human creatives (i.e. A.I.). This is a massive problem, impacting both small and large companies. Unless that girl we saw putting the caps on the bottles happens to have 120 IQ (I'd be shocked if this is the case, if this is her sole job/task at the company each day) and a deep interest in sports or science or law or something, she'll simply be moved to her nearest Starbucks after this. She won't magically have a new job open up for her, unless that company happens to have such openings (most companies don't). And maybe she won't be happy in a retail or related position, and maybe it's worse pay -- who knows. But, millions of workers are in this situation right now. It's why millions of workers have lost their jobs over the last 15 years and have struggled to find new work, or else have been forced to take a worse job. In a few decades, it won't be cute when generations of people are forced to take bad jobs, for bad pay, and foster all kinds of emotional issues and resentment as a result. This whole thing feeds into the Twitter thing a few years ago, the whole, 'learn to code' trend. This was largely over 105 IQ truckers and such. The reality is, not only do most of them not want to code, most are unable to learn it due to a lack of the required intelligence and personality traits. But, the serious problem is the future does require more coders and otherwise positions. All we're going to see over the next 20 years is a cyberpunk-like dystopia, where the A.I. and high IQ humans control everything, and the rest of humanity (80% or so) are stacking up at the bottom, as mechanics or worse. If becoming a coder is anything like going to uni, then we know we're talking about 15% of the population at best. Very terrible percentages. (Of course, the little I know of how the modern game dev landscape is right now, along with filmmaking and such, most young coders are bad at their jobs and extremely lazy and arrogant. One of the creators of Fallout exposed this not long ago. They do bad work and refuse to put in real effort. Imagine how terrible it's going to be for everybody else, then, and even younger coders in the future, if this is the state of things and the general attitude. No wonder such games are delayed, buggy, and overpriced. But, anyway.)

So one thing that absolutely has to happen is Scott and John need to introduce some heavy metal band to mini painting, and then in the outro of the video it cuts between all of them doing the growly "tooooooo" and an audience at one of their concerts yells "paint more minis!"

Wait hold up, this is kind of wild for me. I remember watching them painting on Twitch years ago long before they were Monument Hobbies, I still got a few of their Bombwick Brushes and a very old can of Jenns brush soap. The community really has gone full circle long after forgetting about them but still using the soap and brushes regularly to see a tour of their facility is mind boggling. Also the brush soap is actually goated, when I ordered it I had no idea how to works but I asked them on stream and Jenn gave a quick little tutorial on how to properly use it lol.

Pro acryl is the best. I just started doing a SoH 30k army and they’re like half the reason I started it. If I had to use GW paints to get a good color match I wouldn’t have done it as their paints are THE WORST. The Jade triad as well as the Bright Pake Green are beautiful, perfect and a joy to use.

1:40 also, pigment can be naturally more matt like PW6; that's why paints with a lot of white in them tend to be less glossy even though the rest of the range is. For example think of the difference between white ink versus any other color when it comes to finish.

Monument hobbies paints have been my favorite brand for over two years. Just great consistency across the range and I’ve tried everything from scale 75 to GW. Every time a new product is released I have to try it. I would say the only paints I have issues with are some of the metallics and I think it’s more of a skill issue.
