No. The vote itself was the definition of immaturity. The way statehood gets granted at the UN is for the UN Security Council to recommend it, NOT for the General Assembly to vote on it. The Palestinians are breaking the rules by trying to go around the U.S. veto, instead of actually working to reform their society to get to the point where they satisfy the “peace-loving” condition that all UN member states must have. I've lost count of how many times Israel has ignored UN resolutions regarding its illegal occupation of Gaza, illegal settlements in the West Bank, apartheid system, obstruction of aid etc etc. The number would be higher but for the fact the US has vetoed 90 resolutions in the Security Council so they don't count.
