Use RimWorld inspired colony management mechanics as base automation to bolt Pokémon-esque creatures onto the skeleton of ARK. Then Season your megamix with some of your other other favs (Breath of the Wild & Elden Ring EG.) That's pretty much the Palworld recipe. And yeah ARK is the main skeleton of it. But that's a decently established survival game among a sea of many good ones. Pokémon on the other hand while not the mechanically most involved apect, the easiest to notice on first glance from a worldwide cultural icon. One with a practical monopoly on creature-collection and a gaming side asleep at the wheel for a decade at least. So due to that neglect and the sheer size of that fanbase logically meaning a sizable toxic section too is why the Pokémon angle blew up in terms of controversy.

i was born in 1997, started watching the Pokémon anime around when the johto part was dubbed (if not sooner than that), i collected the trading cards, my first Pokémon game was platinum (i did not have a Nintendo console before hand) but over the years i saw the quality of the games go down and while i still enjoy Pokémon, Palworld filled a new niche in my brain and i am loving it!

Palworld is just a fun survivor lite. Pokemon doesn't have a monopoly on animated animals. My kids love palworld and the very danger that this game will be taken down has them very upset with Pokemon, they used to live Pokemon. Not so much anymore

Ouch... at the age of peak Pokemania it's a harsh lesson to get to know the greedy company behind a multi-generational magical world & story. But piercing the veil of the fairy tales and look at the ugly reality is important to prepare for life. And judging by the timeframe of events, Palworld is unlikely to be taken down. Many of the Pal designs were present in almost 3YO trailer. If Nintendo/TPC could take action it would've already happened. All their statement are just hot air. Essentially trying to project an aura of confidence and 'stop flooding our mails, we know about Palworld' without alienating the more toxic end of their fanbase. Also there is the Microsoft angle... Xbox wouldn't go this heavy on collaboration if they have seen real risk. At the worst case if Nintendo still goes the legal route, it might just chase Pocket Pair into Microsoft's hand for an equally rabid BS lawyer SWAT team defending them and they get eaten up akin to Minecraft.

hmm... i don know what u mean by palworld beating pokemon. palworld only running for 1 month and already dying. pokemon running for more then 20 years not only it did not die players support pokemon by buying gameboy, gamecube, Nintendo switch for over 20 years lol.. i don understand

Palworld is by far NOT a ripoff of pokemon. In fact, it's better and has more features. Pokemon is just a rerun of itself over and over again (name me one main line pokemon game that changes its formula). In my opinion, the Pocketpair team that made Palworld (having near zero previous experience) has done what Pokemon SHOULD have done long ago. Too bad Nintendo refuses to upgrade hardware more than once every 10 years. Very reason the FCC kicked them out of the big 3. Controversy over Palworld has only become a thing because of creators like yourself trying to post similarities that do nothing but prove how different the 2 games really are. As for most gamers, we expected Palworld to be a success seeing as Pocketpair did what most fans wanted Pokemon to do. Let's stop all this talk of comparing the 2 shall we? move onto something more productive and worth our time
