That's where they put the transitional homes and rehabs right in the middle of the hood because nobody else wants that type of housing in their subdivisions or neighborhoods so of course they have to put them in the roughest part of town that's the only place they can put them it's sad

I am glad you realized that gang banging is wrong and that kidnapping and robbery are too. The work you are doing is valuable to people who are in prison to teach them right from wrong. However, I watched the PBS News Hour report about you and I felt that the victims meant nothing at all in all the crimes that your fellow inmates committed. I don’t care that the guy who robbed me at gunpoint and kidnapped my girlfriend hasn’t seen their grandchild, or wife, or anyone in their family for 25 years! What do you think I feel when I go outside and see someone walking towards me for the rest of my life? What do you think the person who gets thrown into a trunk and kidnapped thinks and feels? That feeling NEVER goes away. But, you get to go home and see your grandchildren and have a happy life. I am still scared to go out at night, but you are happy to be out of jail for what you did. Hmm. Great.

900,000 dollars was spent to keep you away from the population. It also took that same 900,000 dollars to rehabilitate you. That same 900,000 dollars could have been spent on your college education or for your vocational training if you weren't busy committing crimes as a youth. You seem rehabilitated now to some degree. God bless you. You're lucky you got 200 dollars when you got out. Peace.

You should really research the prison industrial complex! Your over here mad at someone who made a mistake and suffered the consequences for spending that much tax money. He didn't create this system. But your not mad at the politicians and legislators who create these rules and systems that lead to mass incarceration especially for african americans, to quote you "that same 900,000 could've been spent on your college education or vocational training" but that didn't happen, our government doesn't provide free education to these people when it would matter in their childhood and teen years. I don't know why you say he's only rehabilitated to some degree. this man's been through more then me or you probably ever will and made it out the other side give him his props.
