It makes sense that people could be surprised at what others look like without their mask on if they haven't seen that person without their mask off before because the mask covers half their face. Thus, a lot of their facial features are not revealed yet and, being left to the imagination to fill them in, it makes sense that their actual facial appearance could be quite different than what one might have expected to see after actually seeing their full face. I mean, there's their nose shape, chin shape, jawline, mouth shape, etc.

Facts. Had a customer come I'm and buy prepaid cards for months in scrubs. One day she came in no scrubs. I thought oh great another hooker coming to cvs at 2 a.m 🙄🙄🙄 turns out she was throwing a swingers party and needed some snacks, plus the prepaid card to pay her bills. It was wild. mija1 Do you realize that you used the quotation mark wrong and misspelled grammar, right? And just so u know I’ve always wondered about the lack of verbs in oral speech in the English language (more specifically in America) but I realized that when u speak informally u don’t always use proper grammar. It happens in other countries without bringing race into this (which I’m not saying it doesn’t matter in this particular case, because in the USA there is the AAVE unlike other countries). In my country, we shorten vowels in informal speech (of course not everyone does). It is not that they don’t know how to speak, they know but they don’t do it. However when talking in a more formal environment they don’t skip vowels... it’s what we humans do to economised the language. This make us talk faster, easier etc... it is called “language economy”, it is not that deep, in each country they have its own way of doing this (even if they speak the same language that’s why I refer to the country and not to the language but it’s a language thing).

It's eight months later now and I wish I'd seen this hilarious video earlier, because it's so relateable! I'm thinking that there might be more recent ones to comment on, but still want to mention here that I remember saying to friends when masks were first mandated that I must look younger (I was 60 at the time), as men were approaching me and a benefit is that they hide an unattractive feature of mine. Another issue was that I often thought that I saw people I knew, yet didn't recognise the ones I did know, which was confusing as. Lol. It also seemed like everyone was looking angry at me and others, or just looking, due to only eyes being visible everywhere. I'm used to it now though, which is the case with other people I've spoken to as well. 🤣
