As a person who legitimately hates everything and everyone before playing persona, this could not be more true. Persona 3’s story genuinely curved some really horrible habits I had and I live in the wisdom of Shinjiro.

God persona 3 literally rewrote my neurons. Maybe its the tism but I didn't understand how to socialise with people. I didn't /get/ it. But having social links and stats be broken down into game mechanics was truly mind-blowing for my teenage self. It taught me how to talk to people and to truly try to empathise with these pixel people. It gave me a way to connect with actual humans in my reality.

Akinari wrote a book and at the end you realize the pink crocodile was his mom and he was the little bird. She didn't mean to hurt him............ he was just born that way and that's why he's my favorite confidante

While the writing of this video kinda sounds like a school essay, what with the repetition of phrases like “(character) teaches us that empathy this and that”, what you said about every social link mentioned here still is accurate to the themes they touch on and what they say about their respective characters. I think you have a lot of potential!

This video embodies a lot of my thoughts on persona 3 (reload) specifically as it was my first persona 4/5 months ago. As an autistic person I struggle with empathy a lot and just caring in general. However, after playing this game I couldn’t help but care about all these characters and the changes they go through, all the problems they encountered and wanting to help and listen to them. The same goes for the other persona games but persona 3 especially has a special place in my heart I can’t help but feel for a lot of the characters in persona 3. Thank you for making this video!

Excellent video! I love when someone makes video essays like this, Persona has helped me a lot, at least for me, they are not just games, they are experiences that help you and change your life.

Wow such a great take for one of the most hard lessons that persona teachs. I really love that you took the time to give such good examples from all the modern persona games! I hope that you keep doing these kind of videos! It's really nice seeing the love and effort you have shown here to one of my favorite sagas.

It's incredible how a game cab teach such important lessons. Hope that a lot of people will hear this.

Great video, dude! The only critique I could offer is being more varied with how you end each characters' section, but this is a good video essay otherwise! You did a solid job explaining how each Persona character's Social Link explores empathy. You get 8/10 stars from me! 🎉⭐✨
