Pete Cowen is showing a tour professional the proper way the hips should move in the golf swing. The Key thing to note: The SHOULDERS, and ARMS force the club shaft down to parallel (not the hips). The force from the shoulders/arms initiates the hips to open and move down (Not the hips opening and dragging the arms and club behind). If you lead with the hips dragging the club you'll have to flip the club everytime = poor compression. Not to mention destroy your lower back.
Notice in the video Pete has the Tour Player use a split grip to promote pressure on the shaft with the trail hand at impact (Think BEN HOGAN "I wish I had three right hands"). Pressure on the shaft with the trail hand = Tour quality compression and penetrating ball flight.
