Күн бұрын

Phil and Jase spend all year getting ready for duck season, but when it finally rolls around, Miss Kay and Missy have a name for it: "The Ordeal." Jase highly recommends having the duck-hunting conversation before you get married. The guys also answer audience questions about how a young family can focus on Jesus in the home, how to end a struggle with sin after you repent, and how to share Jesus with a homosexual friend or family member.

To the man who wants to train his wife for duck season: find out her love language and show her you love her 365 days a year. If the rest of the year you are 'speaking her language', she is apt to be more forgiving when you're gone. Maybe send her flowers while you're gone hunting or pay extra to have a house cleaner come in during hunting season...little things to ease the burden if you have young kids. And when hunting season is over, get a babysitter and take her out, or you make arrangements for her to go out with her friends for a spa day and you keep the kids. Start preparing her heart the day after hunting season is over.

I think this two person format works well for Jase. Everyone feels that he gets to say his piece, fully. Of course we realize that it won’t always be that way. And we always desire everyone to be heard. Especially for those who study, ponder, and pray over it as much as the Robertsons’ do.

Not allot of Ducks where I can hunt but the amount of Crows is endless. So prior to Crow season we get our blinds ready and when opening day comes about we my friend and myself then set all of our Crow decoys out and will start to call them in. They will come into the decoys pretty much the same as a Duck and we will typically get our limits of 24 each shot from when the sun comes up and sometime prior to noon at every Saturday and Sunday outing during the entire season and that takes place between Dec 5 - April 7. We longer have a place to hunt but we did this for several ongoing years. As far the wives went they supported what we did and new it was coming from year to the next. We both worked for a living so we could only get out on the weekends and everyone of the holidays. In the office season we would be reloading for the next and I always had a 1000 already to go on hand. I also shot summer and winter league trap and skeet just for fun so I would typically be shooting all year round.

God bless you all from the UK. Hoping to make my way over to the US when I can. I know you might all be feeling a bit gloomy since Biden won, but trust me, 50 years of Biden wouldn't turn the US into the kind of dump that I have to live with. Recently sent a letter informing me I have to apply for a firearms certificate to be allowed to keep my pellet gun. (That involves character references, a regularly-inspected safe and a police interview). Then again, the main church in this country asked to be closed due to covid, so what can you expect.

I tried to get my wife to hunt but she was afraid of birds. I finally talked her to go out and we stalking a couple of ducks and as soon the first one flew up she took off running the other way. My grandpa and my two uncles owned a dairy and where we would always hunt. For those who do not know cow crap laying and building up on the ground is cracked and appears to be as dry as rock but is not. So when she took off running she headed across it and was up to her knees and stuck. So I pulled her out and she headed to the barn where one of my uncles who was always a joker told her to crawl through the fence wire and that he turned the electric fence off. But he did not and she got a pretty good shock while we were all laughing pretty hard. After she quit crying she to thought it was quite funny but never trusted him again and rightfully so. We had just gotten married and she was still getting used to the family and that has now been 51 years ago.
