My family was so poor my parents would drive the highways in California to pick up the produce that fell off the trucks coming from the fields in order to feed us kids. I was not raised in a happy home but we were taught the gospel and I thank God he provided for our souls to be fed. God always provides, we just have to receive it.

22:50 I believe my dad is with the lord 100%, I'm trying so hard to focus on that but I'm crying every day. I found him passed away 2 days ago. Its selfish because I just want him here with me even though I know he is happier in Heaven, but I'm broken knowing that it will be so long until I see him again. He was 63 and I'm 26 and I'm afraid of this wait. I loved him so much and I just really didn't expect him to go anytime this soon. I saw him the day before and he was sick, I made sure he was comfortable and had everything he needed at his bedside. We told each other we loved each other before I left him to rest up. Never heard from him again. Had to break his door down and I found him in bed there. I really need the lord right now because there is nothing else that is going to make this situation good.

My pastor, when he was young, had the first integrated church in the south. After speaking in a revival up north, where a black singer came in, and as she walked up the aisle she was translated into a glorified being. Her hair and skin shone like translucent gold, radiating rainbows. Her garments became white like a white hot fire. Her voice was like bells and pure in tone. It was heard perfectly in every corner. The witness to him, was so strong that from then on every color was welcome. The well armed congregation defended their new brethren with guns, when the clan came to shut them down. Those clan boys were outgunned 20 to 1. This was in the 1950's.

I agree, would like to hear Phil’s answer. Having listened to them for a while it sounds like Phil doesn’t sugar coat it. He talks about the cross and Jesus paying for our sins. The gospel. Also sounds like he puts a lot of emphasis on our own resurrection with Christ and having eternal life.

Miss Kay is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. God has blessed her not only with His eternal rewards but rewards on this side of Heaven in the form of a godly family. The fruits of her labor include her inspiration to help me personally know, love, and serve God more through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit. “She is the woman” indeed, and I give her all the love, honor, and respect that is rightfully hers.

The fact that Mary thought Jesus was a gardener is interesting when placed in contrast with Genesis and the Garden of Eden, the first Garden. The lost Garden being restored. The first gardener, Adam in Genesis, being restored through the second Adam , the quickening spirit, Jesus through the Death, Burial and Resurrection. Good study guys! Lots of deep mysteries of God and truths to be studied out!

Why were Anna & Simeon at the Temple during Jesus’ circumcision? They would be two witnesses who confirm that Jesus is the Messiah, fulfilling OT requirement to establish a fact. Also, see John 8:16-17, & 1 Tim 5:19.

We don’t cry at funerals because of the dead. Or physical death. We cry because we are sad for ourselves, we will miss these loved ones UNTIL we meet again. I miss my mom dad and brother daily ... and still experience sorrow. Not because I don’t believe in the eternal ... just because I miss them in the here and now.
