I'm from New Zealand - It's interesting I wrote in my journal regarding the culture here, right beofre I heard this Pod Cast : John 3:19-20 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. I think we all could use a bit more Unashamed down this way! Thank you.

First thing that I realized is both pride/arrogance and the holy spirit cannot occupy your heart. Once pride is gone and you allow Jesus into your heart, then WOW, then the holy spirit will change EVERYTHING. How you pray, how you speak (no cursing), how you treat others (Love, even your enemies) and how you understand that the narrow road, is just that, very very narrow. All the best brother, the book of James really helps me everyday. Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.

Jesus appeared through a locked door to Thomas the doubter... um through a locked door. The things these disciples got to witness, as they followed him, Walking on water, healing paralytics, healing the lepers, raising the dead, and just appearing out of thin air....What an AWESOME King we serve! Just wanted to say to you Jase that the last podcast where you talked of the DNA of God has me and my husband contemplating so much more richly. Light, life, love! I agree that when the resurrection happens the Lord will come back and get his children regardless of their condition. Whether its a decomposed body or a cremated body . With that being said if you can afford to be buried.. I believe this follows the burial that Jesus himself showed as an example with his own body which was in the tomb and the example of how Christ Followers performed their burials. They speak of tombs in many verses.. other pagan religions mummified bodies, burned bodies.. will you still be resurrected absolutely but many things we do as Christians are to be shown as an example of how Christ walked and lived and died on this earth and this is one of them.
@mjillsnyder
@mjillsnyder 4 жыл бұрын
When God told Abraham to sacrifice Issac what kind of death was it going to be and then the burial? Cremation. He was going to set Issac’s body on fire. Jesus, when buried, said He wasn’t staying in the grave....He got out of the grave. The Bible says God will bring up the bodies out of the ocean and everywhere they are. Burial or cremation....do whatever. God knows where to find you. Eye opener for our family as parents are preplanning their funerals . In Ohio, to bury you in the ground ....at the least $3,500 a person and that is a ‘stacked’ grave, so no need to buy a vault. Then the opening and closing of the grave is $1500 each time or whatever going rate is that day. THEN you have the funeral home cost. Anywhere from $5000 to whatever you are willing to pay! IF you are cremated the least it costs is $1200....then someone still has to pick up the ashes...need a container. You are then buried or ashes spread somewhere. It is a costly event. Make your wishes known and pay for it so your loved ones are not faced with deciding what you would have wanted and how to come up with the money. What you believe about death determines the level of $$$$$$$$ you will spend. Know what the Creator says about us. Thanks Robertsons for addressing this.

Genesis 3:19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return. But I have been taught that if cremated that all the remains need to stay together.

The reason many people ask about cremation is that New Orleans is 36%Catholic. Catholics, until very recently (10/2016) did not favor cremation as they believed in the resurrection of the body. Since Jesus was buried in a tomb and he was then resurrected, Catholics favor following this custom. Cremation is not forbidden "unless it is chosen for reasons which are contrary to Christian teaching.”

From Billy Graham: At the resurrection it will not make any difference whether a person's body has been buried or cremated. God knows how to raise a body, either in the resurrection of life or the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28-29) The new body of a Christian will be radically changed and glorified body like the body of the exalted Christ. It will be eternal, spiritual body never again to experience weakness, disease, suffering or death. (1 Corinthians 15:35-54 and Philippians 3:20-21) I am getting cremated and want my ashes spread in my Lake and favorite hunting grounds.

I live in South Carolina and here there are a few natural burial cemetery's. Were you can be buried in a wooden or cardboard box. Without embalming and decay naturally. For a headstone a flat rock or a tree planted over you. For me I want to be wrapped in a shroud with a tree as my headstone. I know in Louisiana you cannot do this because it is below sea level. That is why I'm glad I live here.

Most of the cost of a burial is NOT for the box, but for the plot, for the backhoe to dig the hole, for cement to be poured into the hole before the burial (an environmental law now), and cement to cover it, the fake grass to cover ground area around the hole, and the funeral director for the cemetery gets his large cut. THAT'S where the money goes--which is a crime. It's not expensive in Europe.

Here it is, I didn’t know my dad he hit the road before I was born. The guy my momma married was as close to the devil as a anyone could possibly be. His name was Norman A Powell and he raised me telling me that the church was a money making business. And I heard him take God’s name in vein at least 100 times a day. He beat my momma severely what seemed to me to be everyday and shot her in the back when I was 8 years old. So needless to say I was next in line for getting punched out at least three of four Times a week. As ashamed as I am to say that fear ruled my life for many years it’s the truth. I lived the life “like Phil said” drinkin drugs and gettin laid. Fast forward to 2/15/15 I got saved, Thank you Jesus!!!! I forgave that man and finally put all that in God’s hands. I never had any brothers or sisters but if I did brothers like y’all would’ve been what I would’ve wanted. Anyhow y’all keep doin what y’all are doin cause y’all help me everyday. I’d just like to sit down and talk to y’all one day maybe that can happen one day God willing. God bless y’all and thank you Jesus for these guys.

God bless you Patti Waterman I know that there are a lot of us out there that had to live in abuse for a season. Once we experience that loving grace we realize that we are worth loving. THANK YOU JESUS!!!! Because of what Jesus Christ did on the Cross I’m forgiven and blessed plain and simple. The words “I LOVE YOU” has a real meaning to me now and will have forever. I got love for you Patti and God bless you.

Phil, Chuck Brenner here. I'm from West Tennessee. My question is, why don't you observe the Biblical Sabbath ? I can't find any prophesy that says that God's day of rest will be changed to Sunday. And the Saturday Sabbath was kept for over three hundred years after the resurrection. It was the Roman church that changed it. What do you think?

Lately I've been questioning that same thing, if Jesus lived as Jew, died a Jew, and we as gentiles are grafted into the body of Christ as believers, wouldn't that make us covenant Jews! ?

Chuck Brenner Indianashogman The commandments we are to follow are the commandments of the spirit. Written on our hearts from the Holy Spirit. The laws of the flesh were fulfilled through our Savior’s life and we as born again believers are no longer bound by the commandments of flesh. It is always best to use the Ten Commandments as a way in which to conduct our lives although we are not bound by them. Jesus said the greatest commandments these, to love God with all we have and love our neighbors as ourselves and therefore every commandment is honored within these two!! That’s the New Testament writings on this subject as I understand them to be.

The ritual yoke of the law no longer applies. Only the laws of morality continued. If Christians observe the day of Jesus' resurrection as a tradition there is liberty. Also no problem observing the Sabbath. Jesus performed healing on the Sabbath as an example of not getting caught up in a ritual for the sake of the ritual. God observes the heart. Yes, we are grafted in, yet, in the book of Acts, remember the discussion by the Apostles as to what laws apply to Gentiles. Plus, what Jesus said carries over, 'Love the Lord, your God-Love your neighbor as yourself'. They key is love and honest endeavor, not some tradition or ritual observance.

We are considering donating our bodies to a medical teaching university here in Canada. Our souls are long gone anyway. We have to pay to deliver the body because use we are a distance out . ( in bodybag). They eventually cremate the body ( they pay the bill) and give you the ashes.🇨🇦
