I gave one of my players a mimic pet. It's based on an image where I saw a snake turn into a bow, for the first few nights after they found the bow they were waking up with less health as it was unknowingly feeding on them. Now he feeds it and it stays as a coiled bracelet around his arm until he needs the bow. It can also form shackles by tying around wrists and then turning solid.

A little more info on the guy who was arrested for his miniature Zelda Sword: 1) He has a fairly long rap sheet for things like burglary 2) It was in England, in an area with high levels of knofe crime. 3) He claimed it was his "fidget". Something else you could have added in this... There was already precedent for something like that in England. A few years back, they arrested a man for walking down the street with a butter knofe (I'll use the same word as you in case of censorship) in his bag. If I remember correctly, the guy just bought it with other things, was walking to his house when the police stop and searched him and arrested him for the highly dangerous item. Of course, the police was mercilessly mocked and ridiculed on then twitter, as they should, but their answer was so stupid it made everything worse. "You'll stop laughing when you'll get stabed by one" Yeah, I'm not scared of those round metal plate that can't cut cheese without problem...

TLDR: Evil DND character successfully recruits a Mimic as pet through offer of cults victims. Chaotic evil Tiefling (Bloodline tied to demon that grants Charming spells as a abilities) Warlock based around swords over eldritch blast and mask of many faces as an ability granted from patron, member of cult that was attacked while she was in charge of (and was completeing task during attack) tracking down and neutralizing runaway and former members, DM sets us to raid a tomb near a gang held town, gang recruits us after group gets in a fight at the leaders tavern, send group of goblins to assist in acquisition of loot, labels them as "expendable" finds a INTELLIGENT mimic chest in the 3rd tomb looked into, successful persuasive back and forth with said chest leads to character agreeing to feed the chest (using her very jobs responsibility of removing living obstacles and threats), calls out too two goblins sent, the first gets gobled up, the second fails save vs charm and suggestion, becomes meal and grants me my mimic XD, group fell apart shortly after that as GM and group were not pleased i succeded, showed i was able to play the char truly evil, and was definitely more aware of what i was doing than the rest of the group XD ALSO CULT MEMBERS (survived attack our goal was rebuild and summon primordial evil) we had even managed to have a corrupted by Bane artificer crafting items that would be enchanted to whisper to those who bought them, during day helpful info, at night, join the cult propaganda while they slept. My idea.

The guy was just walking around going about his day using the toy sword as a fidget object, and some random person called the cops on him because he had a "knife". The cops showed up and because they came up on him still fidgeting with the "knife", they jumped him claiming he was brandishing a knife at them. The courts took the cop's side despite the evidence, probably because they don't like making cops look bad when they over react to situations like this.

Speaking of gigachad rabbits like that, I remember a long time ago when I used to play World of Warcraft and they actually had a small cute little bunny rabbit just like what you described. (Now I have not played WoW in a VERY long time and most of this information is based off my memory so I may be remembering a few details incorrectly, so if I get any information wrong, please feel free to correct anything mentioned in the replies, especially if anyone reading this happens to play WoW and knows more about the creature I am gonna talk about.) Since I haven't played in a long time, I do not know if they still do this, but I remember playing WoW when I was just a young chick, (Mama Hen happened to have a group of friends who got her into WoW, which then led to me playing with her.) and I remember that they would have an event called the Darkmoon Festival located on a place known as Darkmoon Island. This event would come around every month and it would last for about a week I believe, and you could only access Darkmoon Island during the Darkmoon Festival. Darkmoon Festival was a lot like a carnival as it had minigames that you would commonly find at a carnival (games like ring toss, knock over the pins, and I specifically remember whack-a-gnoll, which was essentially whack-a-mole, but with creatures in WoW called gnolls), vendors, and I believe there was even a big circus tent there, although the tent was most empty and didn't have very much stuff in it, but they could've added stuff to the big tent since the last time I played! However, if you walked a little bit away from all the games and activity to the shore, you might stumble across a tiny little bunny rabbit in front of the entrance to a small cave. I remember that the cave in question had skulls and bones inside and around the entrance, suggesting that someone... or *something* had slaughtered these people and left the remains of it's victims around the cave, what kind of monster could've possibly done this? Well if you selected the seemingly harmless little bunny rabbit minding it's own business outside the cave, you will find that it was actually level "???" and was actually known as... The Killer Bunny! [insert dramatic *DUN DUN DUN* sound effect here LOL] That's right! This little guy was a killer, but how could this innocent-looking bunny rabbit have committed such cruelty, especially when it wasn't naturally hostile? Well as I said, it isn't hostile, unless you attack him that is. If you so mush as dare attack the Killer Bunny, he would immediately hit you with an attack that would kill you faster that you can say "mercy", EVEN if you were max level yourself (which was levels 90 the last time I played WoW). It is possible to slay the Killer Bunny and I saw a video online of it done, however I remember it took an entire raid team of max level players to do it, which would be overkill against any other bunny rabbit in WoW. Most other rabbits in WoW are level 1 and only have 1 HP, meaning you can easily one-shot it even if you were the lowest level and just created your character... So needless to say, the Killer Bunny from World of Warcraft's Darkmoon Festival was pretty overpowered and is the perfect example of a "Gigachad rabbit" that would make you say "maybe we shouldn't mess with that one" as Noble described it... especially since if you mess with him, then it's your own funeral! Like I said at the beginning of this comment, it's been a long time since I actually played WoW, so I don't know if they made changes to the killer bunny since I last played or if the killer bunny even still exists at all! As such if I got any information wrong somehow or if any of this information is outdated due to the fact I haven't played in quite a few years, please feel free to correct me in the replies.
