to all the people who say 'the title makes it look like she regrets she had a baby' listen, pregnancy isn't magical, soft, perfect etc...It's hard, painful, your body changes and that’s the reality.

Yeah I see a lot of comments saying that "she should've used a more positive title" like why would she when she's talking about something negative. Pregnancy isn't always pretty.

I was a stick pre-pregnancy and got really really hugeeeee while pregnant and HATED being pregnant too. My belly button is forever destroyed with loose skin and I’ve had a hard time accepting that but at the end of the day, it’s just a belly button. They are weird regardless 😂 and I got a beautiful daughter out of it. Her perfection is worth every “imperfection” on my body now. 💕

Those red lines or veins are stretch marks that appear when you body grows a large amout in a short time.. it's common to people going through puberty and having growths in that area.. it's also common to men who exercise and their muscle's grow a large amount.. it's normal don't worry

They are actually just veins. When women are pregnant there is an increase of blood volume making veins in certain areas of the body more visible, and they stay that way longer if she breastfeeds. They do go away over time. Yes, she probably does have stretch marks on her skin that grew quickly, but what she was explaining is just veins caused by increased blood volume and suction.

Hi everyone, I'm a girl, and in school we have the pregnancy/baby unit in health, we were not told anything about what happens to your body after pregnancy I think that is one of the many flaws about our school system, this video has been very helpful to inform me and hopefully other people about what happens after pregnancy . I find it sad that women have not felt comfortable to talk openly about this or have not been heard when speaking up about this, I admire Colleen for feeling okay to talk about this. I am really happy to know that postpartum pregnancy is becoming more acceptable to talk about.

Well, I think the expectation and hope is that from the unit, they won't be having lots of teen mums, therefore explaining post-partum would be a bit unnecessary with that expectation, it could generally wait until post-partum or once you are pregnant, and that's something you would/could talk to a specialist/doctor/obstetrician about in due time

Congratulations on your newborn, you look fantastic. As a family doctor I see a lot of post-partum mummies and I can vouch that 80-90% of women have not gone back to their pre pregnancy body by week 6. It’s entirely normal to have some skin stretching following pregnancy and this should hopefully settle over the next few months. My most important advice is to continue gentle exercises whilst maintaining your mental health as being a new mum is a strain both physically and mentally. Wishing you all the very best.

THIS COMMENT! Yes! 6 weeks is nothing, half a year is nothing, even. Give it time, exercise, love and you will se. I thought my body would never go back, and it took about a year before things got close to normal. It's amazing how the skin and body can transform itself, people just gotta give it time.

I cannot tell you how many times I told myself (even while watching this video) that stretch marks / post-baby pooch / pregnancy gain over 30 pounds is acceptable for every woman...except for me. Jemma J it's all subjective. To you it looks amazing because you are used to looking at stretch marks. To her she is comparing her body post 2 months baby to her body pre pregnancy. That's not amazing even though the weight loss is pretty remarkable. She's so new to this she doesn't realize it takes more than 2 months and it takes an exercise routine for that area. Can't just wake up skinny and young and tight like a lot of pre baby women do.

Livi Holland I agree with the first comment- it takes at least 6 months for your body to bounce back- also that you are nursing helps as it takes the fat from everywhere to create enough for Flynn to get all that he needs. We are most critical of ourselves after the birth of our boys- it stretches the tummy that much more in the front. Get out for lots of walks with Flynn ( and the dogs.) it will go. And get back to healthy eating. (And still allow for an occasional beer( helps milk production)

To all the 13 and 14-year-old kids watching this video and asking if they "weigh too much" or "if its bad that I am x pounds" please, please remember that you are a young teen! Your body is still growing, and going through puberty and that is okay! Colleen is in her 30's and fully grown, so of course, her body is going to look different! That is not a bad thing. Your body is going to look different at 16 then it does now, and your body at 21 will look different than at 16! That is normal! Please do not let this video fool you into thinking that gaining or losing weight is a bad thing. It is so normal. Take care of yourselves, treat yourself with kindness and compassion, that is more important than how much you weigh.

That's true, but I personally, I like being called beautiful, u know? It's a nice bonus! But yes, beauty isn't everything. Unfortunately, some people in business world might beg to differ. It's sad but true. Beauty SHOULDN'T BE EVERYTHING. AND I DON'T THINK IT'S EVERYTHING.

After having my son , my stomach is now ruined!! He was worth it but it still doesn’t make me think my stomach is beautiful. Your body changes so much after having a baby . I don’t understand why people are saying that it’s insulting for someone to say that they feel like their own body is ruined. Colleen is amazing for sharing her experience. She is entitled to say how she feels and I respect her for doing so.

I think some people feel bad if their tummy or body looks "worse" than hers and their taking her feelings and applying and comparing to themselves. It's not healthy to think like that :( but I remember being overweight as a kid and teen and hating when thinner people said they were fat or packing on pounds. But we all should be allowed to feel however!

I've always wanted to be a mom but growing up I realized how difficult it is to go through pregnancy and now I feel like I don't want that experience, I've had anorexia, I'm always struggling with my weight and my body shape. I can't even handle the natural changes that my body goes through every single month with periods and hormones and so on. I can't imagine how taxing being pregnant can be and this video is really helpful because it's honest and I feel really identified with your thoughts. I'm still young and don't want kids but this makes me reflect on how I see myself and my body and how I treat myself so thank you.

Oh colleen you are post baby, your body will NOT stay like that. I remember going through horrible depression when I saw my body after baby. It took me 2 years to get my body back and I finally do. Even the stretch marks went away after some time. 2 months after baby your body looks like an explosion. It won't stay that way. Also, dont be surprised if you gain wait after you stop breastfeeding. You are figuring out your calorie intake versus the calories you are burning through breastfeeding. I gained 40 pounds once I stopped BF and then I started to count calories and I lost the weight. It takes time and effort but you will get there. I think your body is beautiful but I dont want anyone to think how your body looks 2 months after baby is a permanent thing.

EVERYTHING is normal. I just had baby #4 at 39. Remember, it took NINE months to grow. Be patient. I always saw a huge difference in ten months. Also, your body will hold onto extra fat while you are nursing because you need it to make milk. My breasts are also very vascular when I'm nursing because they need extra blood flow. You are going to bounce right back. Please don't worry about it. Your body made a human! And you think it can't recover? Don't be silly. Give your hips time to move back. Get examined for diastasis recti. Exercise properly based on results. Up your vitamin C to boost collagen production. ❤️
