I just had one of those wonderful moments when you see how something works that you'd never thought about before, and realise how clever it is! At around 0:47, when you spin the pattern around and the machine follows it, it all makes sense. Thanks!

As always the prep and setup is an important part of manufacturing any item. Thank you for the insights into the process. Take care.

Hello Alaina, great video on setting up the lathe. The precision needed to set up the blank is incredible. I just love watching you work as we do not get much of a chance anymore to watch true craftsmen work their magic.

As I watch you work I'm inspired to consider building an air camper powered by a Model A Ford. I already drive a 1930 Ford Deluxe Town Sedan with 39,788 original miles. Many blessings from KY USA.

Do you make props out of a solid piece of wood instead of being glued. Great video. Thank you.

@Will he heck as like I saw a wooden prop with metal that looked like blended on the leading edge. I could be wrong not knowing much about this.

I like the laminations so I can check for defects in the wood easily
@CulverProps2 жыл бұрын
I actually don’t pay attention to grain at all. The laminates do provide added strength and also more surface area to inspect for defects
