I love using Wavesfactory Trackspacer on bass (triggered by the kick track) and on guitars (triggered by vocals) for this kind of sidechain compression/eq "spacing" purposes

PRO MB тоже хорошо на эту роль подходит.

I second the use of Trackspacer. Great plugin.

I do this same thing with waves c6! But also use trackspacer occasionally. It's also a great tool!

Trackspacer has a hidden menu we’re you can make the attack instant and select only the mid channel on guitars. Slept on gem of a plug-in that thing.

Great video about an important topic ! The Pro-C2 is absolutely great, it can do almost everything, love it !

If I'm not mistaken, what you demonstrated was internal sidechaining with the FabFilter compressor. I have this plugin and love it. But it also features external sidechaining, which a person would utilize for instance between the kick and the bass exclusively, right? I have studied the "traditional" sidechaining methods, but really am liking the internal sidechaining feature for a lot of things. Thanks for your videos, Bobby!
@smathaudio Жыл бұрын
You can still use the external side chain to achieve this.

It’s not just for kick and bass you can put it after a reverb and sidechain to the dry vocals meaning the reverb ducks when the vocal plays meaning it’s not washed out and will help to add movement.

This video is dope and I appreciate the time you took to reinforce my understanding of side chaining.. I’ve used the technique sparingly but now I see I need to jump in the water…

I use the plugin Duck on my sub bass to “duck” every time the kick hits.

I like to use waves c6, poor mans fabfilter, and sidechain the kick into the bass at about 60hz and duck out the frequency rather than the volume
@RaytownProductions Жыл бұрын
It works SOO well! Thanks for the comment 🤘
