This year's team is MUCH MORE fun to watch than the team last year... VERY SOLID players come off the bench, ALL play well together, much more fundamental execution this year. Edey is AWESOME.

For every foul not called on Edey they miss 10 fouls committed on him. Please call the games fair because 3-4 players for other teams will foul out before he does

That's fair. When I found the 6 fouls drawn per game stat my first thought was that's kinda low.

As a Purdue fan, this year has been such a pleasant surprise. I think Zach will end up staying for his Senior year and developing a shot this off-season. Nothing crazy, but enough to be able to knock down an open 3 like Chet Holmgren or Hunter Dickinson. THAT will be the final form of Zach Edey that college basketball should be afraid of.
@BobbyDouglasBasketball
@BobbyDouglasBasketball Жыл бұрын
I could see it. I honestly feel like his biggest roadblock for the NBA is his defense in space though.
@noahhelstrom8824

@@BobbyDouglasBasketball For sure. Smart guards that he gets switched on can beat him pretty easily and that’ll be way more evident in the NBA with a more spaced-out court.

As a child he was a hockey player, that was his real passion. he did it for years. I think that experience gave him superior core strength despite his height.

Admittedly, I don't watch a lot of NCAA ball, but I happened to watch the Michigan State - Purdue game this past weekend and I was blown away seeing Zach play. He was so dominant and used his height so well but also so gracefully for his size. If he stays healthy and continues to improve his game, he should be an NBA all-star in a few years imho. Honestly not even fair watching him bully the smaller big men at the college level 😂
@BobbyDouglasBasketball
@BobbyDouglasBasketball Жыл бұрын
Idk if he's an all star because there are some questions defensively given more NBA space, but I'm definitely predicting he'll be an NBA player.

You said that Zach had reached his final form this season. I highly doubt that this is his final form. He's a very hard worker, and is still growing in his skillset, as he had only played basketball a couple of years before coming to Purdue.
@BobbyDouglasBasketball

If this isn’t his final form I’ll be terrified to see what it is. For the record I think he’s a legit NBA player at his current level, and he might not even leave Purdue after this year

Yes Edey has not fully developed his skill set yet because believe it or not he has a remarkable midrange jump shot! I’ve seen his workouts before he even came to Purdue and he’s the real deal.
