How racism is ingrained in Sri Lankan society

I'm a Dutch Burgher and my grandfather is from Scotland. One day ASP Nandana Senaratna at tha Cinnamon Gardens police told me I don't belong here and I must talk only in Sinhala because this country is a Sinhala Buddhist country. I went to human rights ot the hooligan transferred to Polonaruwa.

@@eugen-gelrod-filippov Thats not how the caste system works. Caste is not based on color of the skin. Caste system is based on ancestors occupation . Nowadays anyone can be a doctor, engineer, anything. There is fair skin low caste and dark skin upper caste.

Caste is not based on colour of the skin. For centuries, it was based on the occupation of the ancestors. South asian range from fair to dark skin. That doesnt mean dark skin are low caste system. There is low caste fair skin and dark skin upper caste. This racism is about majority sinhalase vs minority sl tamil and burghers.
