The other day I got Stanley Donwood's book - There Will Be No Quite. I've found it so inspiring that I've decided to make a short film about it. Reading the interface by Thom Yorke, and shooting some footage of the spreads, playing my modular synth and an old pad I'd recorded on a Marantz PMD222. If you're a Radiohead fan or simply an artist, you should check this book out. It's quite remarkable.

"First day of college. Donwood in a tweed cap and green tweed suit.
Decided I didn't trust him. Had a feeling I'd end up working with him. Him reading a book.
Looked like he was there by mistake.
He was a hippy who did fire-breathing.
I was shaven-headed guitar-playing pretend DJ type who was going to do music.

King of Limbs.
Downward convinced we must make a free newspaper. And give it away.
We heavily studied the radical magazines and papers of the late 60s and 70s.
Populated ours with strange hand-drawn nonexistent creatures mostly from my dreams and stories of nature's relationship to our own collective madness.
The Universal Sight.
As strange and out of time as record itself.
Stanley and I spent a day in central London with a newspaper stand and 50s peaked caps
giving the papers away in their thousands.
I had forgot that people would want to take our photo, and talk to us.
Long day.
Then watched people queueing up all over the world for theirs.

Yes, it's just record covers and artwork, adverts, marketing.
But no.
For us, it was never just that.
