Been in the lab with Azamina White Forest (w small Toy Box package). This helps white forest a ton since we can run more or max copies of Tales. We can take advantage of the Azamina quickplay to make the omni, then add up back to the hand with WF Diabell to make Sol on the opponent's turn. Some fun interactions: Toy Tank with Box active can SS the Azamina Omni from grave. Fiend of the White Forest can SS Azamina monsters if i pitch a WF Syncho. Sinful Spoil lady + Toybox is full combo

One very huge thing that will also be very relevant and honestly one of the better decks of the format is memento. Gains more extenders with grand breakout, engraver is a 1 card starter again in addition to lacrima being a 1 card starter too. And akihiron gives the deck so much more recovery and grind game into bystials and allows for line optimization and a higher ceiling(can fusion in the gy pop to add bone party, bone party away the aki for more push and add back the banished fusion for efficiency). Finally, the deck is super flexible into many different kinds of handtraps(except for shifter, obviously) and plays under fuwalos very well, establishing only 1-2 draws for what’s basically the full memento endboard. Overall, the deck is very well positioned, trades better into 1:1 handtraps than snake eyes and will probably represent fiendsmith more in the metagame than yubel will.

I think the azamina stuff helps whites woods plenty. It gives a continuous spell to send, a pretty decent spell to add back with diabell, and of course help insulate your board from hand traps.

This! Also it allows us to run more copies of Tales since we will most likely have a sorc or illusion monster on the field. Another fun tech is that we can use the quickplay Azamina card to summon the omni on our turn, grab it again with the lvl 8 WF, then use it again on the opponent's turn to summon Azamina Sol.

It's not exactly PERFECT, but a piece of the going second problem in the new Mermail deck can be navigated using Chaos Hunter. Just bring her out on your opponent's T1. Her being a level 7 is perfect for accessing Abyssgaios/Poseidra Abyss, and she stops the only other real weakness the deck has remaining (things being banished) from occurring as long as she's around.

Agnimdae has some synergy with new Lacrima too. If the opponent starts their turn with a imperm on Desirae or otherwise removes it without you using it’s effect; during the opponent’s turn you can Lacrima to revive the Agnumdae, Agnumdae to revive the Desirae and equip to it. It’s kinda niche but it’s another layer of interaction you can run if you have the extra deck slot.

I feel like the title has been said far too much since Link era started and especially in the past four-five years because every couple months we get a minimum of a core set every couple months that makes a format far too expensive for the average player because at least one archetype in that set upends the entire format. In the past four years alone, we had Block Adamancipator, Infernoble handloop (these two may be covid era, but they were played during remote duel), Dragonlink (which refuses to die), Virtual World (with True King of all Calamities), Prank Kids and other top decks with the adventure engine, Tri-Brigade (lyrilusc and zoodiac variants), Drytron, Swordsoul, Branded (when people forget it exists), Runick (and variants), Spright, Tearlament, Kashtira, Snake-Eye, Fiendsmith, and now Azamina who are all decks that have changed the meta in some way (and almost entirely in a bad way given many of their price points and how format warping the last four or so are/were. Snake-Eye has been meta for almost ONE YEAR at this point and TIER 0 for about HALF THAT TIME) and every set these came out in had people saying "this set will change the game" because those archetypes were in the set and for most of them we saw just what they could do because of how they impacted the ocg Edit: probably other decks I haven't mentioned, but the point still stands

And l was also thinking of how ryzeal locks you into a specific rank and resolves around level 4 monsters in the main deck, similar to spright mainly wants to use level 2s

I will say though azamina isn't more synergistic with WF over Snake-Eyes, it does synergize VERY well! If you just open say Diabellstar and Toy Box without any White forest cards that's still full combo! Also if you only open say Diabellestar and Tales, you can get your search from Tales since you control a spellcaster. I've been working on it and it's very good and can make imo the best boards in the game with interaction points if every kind. Not to mention the draw from both wanted and Rucia ends up usually getting you into handtraps after going through the whole deck

It can win locals for sure. It has an issue with needing to run bricks (the high level Ogdos) and it's not as good at playing through interruption as meta decks are, but there are like 15 1 card starters and a few extenders, and you have some good flexibility for endboards (Evolzar Lars for 2 Omninegates on the field, Cosmic Slicer Zeroll lock to disable all enemy monsters on the field, handripping/board wipe with Aron the Ogdoadic King and Ogdoabyss the Ogdoadic Overlord respectively) that you can end on based on the situation. Ogdoadic also inherently has good grind. You can also run them with Ragnaraikas but the lock on Skeletal Solder restricts your extra deck options so it's not necessarily optimal.

Why couldn't konami make deception of the sinful spoils say "tribute 1 WHITE FOREST monster" instead of being another generic stupid card and provide a bridge between white forest and sinful spoils/diabellstar which there is literally NONE and they are the same freaking lore... if you wanted to completely kill snake eyes then in the future you could have easily just banned OSS and any connection diabellstar has to fire decks is gone (yes fire kings or rescue ace also get hit but at least they can play with their engines just fine still and not be broken).. what will inevitably happen now just like in OCG they will hit diabellstar and wanted eventually and kill the white forest/azamina deck before it had any chance to do anything cuz everyone will be playing azamina with snake eyes
