I would’ve loved a sequel to this. TMNT focuses more on Leo and Raph, which is great, because they both got pretty good story arcs. But it would’ve been nice to see a sequel focusing on Don and Mikey more and exploring their characters better. Still, it’s one of my favorite incarnations of the turtles to this day.

i doubt he counts as an "edge-lord" since all the turtles' personalities are based on magazines and stuff they read. To them, it's how humans act, based on what they know. it's like if dogs became sentient and started doing what people in marlboro-ads did,:raising horses and smoking cigarettes, talking like cowboys. I always considered it a subtle jab at how people can be influenced by media when they don't know any better. Hard to imagine them not becoming villains considering they could have watched horror movies all day.

I always loved how they made Raph the nightwatcher in this movie, as a kid it was always so cool to see him fighting with chains and moving around in that suit and I really wish they implemented it more in some of the animated series. He was just so cool and seeing him with the music they give him in the movie AND the video game was such an awesome feeling of vigilantism. Freaking loved the nightwatcher.

This is still my favorite TMNT movie ever. Its dark yet funny, new but with the same feeling pf the other parts of the franchise, and matured enough for old fans and new ones to love it. It deserves a sequel. Also, Raphael’s Nitwatcher origins are similar to an episode of BTAS where Batman fought with the Grey ghost, another retired crime-fighter

I honestly already liked the 2007 movie it was different to what we had seen at the time but if this was a detail that was added into the movie, maybe the boys talking about it or a flashback would’ve made the movie a whole lot more memorable in my eyes. I think they should take this into consideration for the new movie because this actually has a lot more to explore still and creates more of a reason why raph and Leo had such different views in the big fight that happened between them in the movie.

I think TMNT would have been much better had it been a combination of parts of the prequel comic with the Leo and Raph parts of the final film. It would’ve been a good story of the turtles parting ways, then coming back together. No 13 monsters nor Stone Generals
