I think this set flew under the radar. I only realized their uniqueness thanks to a tip in another youtube video. Luckily, thanks to that tip, I was able to get a set.

Great video, thank you! I managed to get a few of these kits so that I would have some 2023 coins. It was seven months ago that this channel had a video named "WHERE is the 2023 $1 Mob of Roos Coin? it's MIA from the Australian Mint!" We're now in 2024 and, to my knowledge, there was no 2023 mob of roos $1 coin released except for the privy-marked ANDA set. I find it a little disappointing when I can't get a complete "standard set" of coins for a given year. That's surely the wrong way to approach coin collecting, but I find it disappointing nonetheless.

@@DantheCollectingMan , you're right of course. How embarrassing. I have a whole roll of the King's effigy mob of roos 2023 $1 coin, and yet it didn't even occur to me that I now have a complete "standard set" of coins for 2023. I was stupidly waiting for a MOR with the Queen's effigy.

Plenty of coins having the queens memorial obverse on them. I think the vegemite sets are quite unique not having the memorial obverse and just are dated 2023.

Yes creatures of the deep lunch box sets I bought 2 from the mint definitely put them away in safe place 😊

I bought this set today and I also bought another raw 5 c , I was very surprised by the mintage of 7,102, so there are only 7100 5 cent left out there now 👍

@@DantheCollectingMan No doubt Mate, Im thinking about buying a few more, it was a very Sneaky release, I graded a 68 5 c out of the 2 which made my day, others were 67 or below, the Dollar in came Complete with the previous owners thumbprint lol 👍😀 I probably will buy a few more of these 👍 7102 kind of reminds me of the 2017 planetary set

The Sterling Silver 2023 Proof set I bought has a $1 Mob of Roo's coin in it.

Hi Dan … just discovered your channel and have been binge watching all evening. Why was the ANDA set not sought after? Along with the fine silver set, the only MOR that year. It still baffles me !?! Could it be a sleeper longer term?

I thought very rare in numismatics was like 0-80 or something like that . There is a grading rarity chart . Very limited yes 👍

Hello Dan, in regards to 2023 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c are you forgetting that those coins were all release in the 2023 Vegemite annual set? and therefore there not as rare as what your stating?

What about the 50c piece I bought with all the Queens ethogies on the front I just bought? I think they only minted 6500. Beautiful coin. I literally bought the last one the other night.
