@flowersvalley The big heli (the EXI 450) weighs about 850g with the battery. I'm running a Belt CP motor with a 10T pinion running about 2200rpm.

That was like the perfect explanation I was looking for thank you so much for this vid just one more thing though I get how these single blade helix work but what about the ones with two blades

Great video there CJ. I have a great little collective pitch heli's called WL Toys V977. This heli is perfect for inverted flying training. Collective Pitch helis are a blast to fly and fly totally different than fixed pitch. Full Throttle & Blue Sky's Brotha...TBT

The fixed pitch heli is a Blade MSR. It's a lot better than the cheap mall copters you find at Fry's Electronics etc. It costs more but in the long run it's a better investment because you can get spare parts and it's just overall a better quality machine that's meant to last rather than just be thrown away when it breaks. The collective pitch helicopter shown here appears to be a clone of an Align Trex 450 SEV2. Helicopters like this are usually not sold ready to fly, you buy them as a kit either with electronics, or just as a bare airframe and are required to put it together install the electronics and set it up to fly. This is actually a "mini" helicopter by most hobbyist's reckoning. A 600 class which is about 4 feet long with 1200-1300mm rotor disk (600mm blades + the width of the hub) and typicly weighting 6-8lbs is considered a "normal" sized helicopter. And if you are wondering, yes a heli that size could seriously injure or kill you if you are careless with it.

Is a swash plate really needed? Is changing center of gravity wit respect to the lift force not enough?
@PetesGarage12 жыл бұрын
I just bought my first collective pitch helicopter. After the blades get up to speed do you have to switch the transmitter to mode 1, or does the throttle automatically become the pitch control?

Sir ,can I use a simple 9g servo for Hiller 450 helicopter because digital servos and metal servos are too costly
@CJVideoProductions3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think I used all 9g servos on my EXI450. A 9g is a little weak on the tail, but it works.

how do you fix the helicopters that don't like to pitch farward and fly straight? they only fly up and down or backwards.
@CJVideoProductions6 жыл бұрын
You could add some nose weight to make it pitch forward and thus fly forward.
@RCCRAYZ6 жыл бұрын
@@CJVideoProductions yah I thought about that, the more I've been digging the more I've come to realize it's probly the swash plate. And I can't find any videos on adjusting them on the toy grades, like sky rover.

+sabarish venugopal So that when he lands the helicopter, the tail rotor does not sink into the grass, possible damaging the rotor.

Cyclic has way deep science involved than u conviniently described. Now add flybar to it & Physics gets way too complicated to comprehend.Y 45 degree flybar y not 90 degree. Just by changing flybar angles u can introduce or eliminate toiled bowl effect.

You need to look at that bird, she is making a noise that shouldn't be there. Something is out of whack, or not lined up right.

It was about as right as it could be. It was an Chinese Trex clone - ultra budget machine. Cheap bearings and gears are noisy. I still have this same heli, but the only original part on it still is the canopy! Thanks for watching.
