Peter Tosh, Winston, remains my god of music. It's unfortunate he is conspicuously absent from many documentaries and commentaries. Are people still afraid to be associated with his legacy? Rest in peace, my friend.❤🧡💚

Nice! But perhaps before crediting Clapton after The Beatles consider Paul Simon "Mother and Child Reunion" (1972), Led Zeppelin "Dyer Maker" (1973), and War "Cisco Kid" (1973). Also Fishbone and The Untouchables were forging the reggae/ska/punk scene in Southern California in the early eighties, long before Sublime or Slightly Stupid picked up the mantle. Also don't forget Bad Brains from Washington DC. They had a tremendous influence on the fusion of ska, reggae, and punk in the US in the eighties and nineties.

👍Hmm...Yes. Paul Simon's Mother and Child Reunion....That tune was something.. Picking up on that typical sound of early 70s Reggae..I think it was recorded at Byron Lee's studio in Kingston JA...

😊 nuff respect RAS; My Guinness tastes especially good today, ty UK🍻. My close friend Steve-O was the lead singer of the Vandals (not Jackass steve-o) and inspired the Ska fusion with punk by ALL the punk bands we know from SoCal. He had great stories and was working on his book, From Punk to Monk, until he passed away. He lived a holy life and I know he still lives. And speaking of jamaica's importance, I'm voting for the 1st Jamaican-American president of our country in November and encourage all Americans to do the same. I mon need equal rights and justice. ✌️Salome comes after 😊 Bless all you yardies that are a main driving force for peace on earth.

Cool, RAS. I got a seafood kichari I just made and a beer. Thanks RAS, it's a blessed day, 13 years ago us Guardsmen were at the ready and went on to help for many years to come. I'm sure Kamala won't allow craziness to happen in the US like Bush. Yes, Jamaica is a very important place😊. Ok back to the show...

Nice.. I've been a Rock and Reggae music fan all my life... Naturally the Beatles are credited to be the first Rock band to infuse Ska/Reggae with Rock...Their aura is so overwhelming...But wait. Not so fast..The Rolling Stones were on to it before the Fab 4 by 1966 with their hit song "Under My Thumb".....Great vibes, that one..

Nailed it ! I have an idea for you, how about you look at the after effects of the Wind Rush generation. And talk about the influence of Reggae and Dub on electronic music. Down Tempo, Garage, Dub Step , Jungle / Drum and Bass. One of the biggest hits in the last year is by Chase and Status called " Baddadan " Heavy Ragga influence. You can also go as far back as Rebel Mc's - " Just Keep Rocking " which came out in the 80's. And you can talk about how the sound system had a huge influence on the world.

I'd just like to expand & express that a lot of reggae songs were just a production trend or theme & were viewed as inauthentic & classified as cod reggae.
