Let's do a recap! Jeff makes this kind of money we know this. The problem here is his Amazon employees make a average of $11-$12 hr. Making the majority of them eligible for food stamps and welfare. Now I am not saying he should not make his cash but let's get real here. Right here is a perfect example of why the middle class is being depleted. Think for a moment here, if Jeff just paid himself a few billion less his employees could make a additional $10-$12 a hr putting them up around $22 -$24 a hr. Again Amazon can determine the ones employed that deserve it etc. Imagine the families that would benefit from this. Then imagine when they go out with there additional incomes and buy homes,tires,cars,washers,dryers, food,go to salons whatever. Look then what it does to families when there income can provide the children to have there parents make enough to afford to do things with them. Imagine the schools and local communities how positvely effected by this. The fireman, police departments and other social agencies. Just imagine all of this for a minute. Then take a deep breath and wake up because as brilliant as Jeff Besos is and others like him they will NEVER it seems consider this. Remember Greed is like a cancer it will eventually need treated.

Jeff does have a lot of money, and he doesn't need all of it, but to raise EVERY 522,000 peoples wages to 22-24 dollars by just cutting out his money, he would lose so much for little gain. And the people's work might not be worth $24. If they want a better pay they can seek a better job. Plus half of his jobs are in China anyway.

Yet he treats his workers like slaves. Being fired for being sick and people being forced to wear diapers because if they take bathrooms breaks they don't make their quotas. People get interrogated for using the bathroom and the breaks are limited. You should hear horror stories about people working for Amazon. If he's that rich why can't he pay the workers $30.00 an hour with benefits and treat them like human beings not robots and also put bathrooms in every section of the plant so people don't have to walk 10 minutes to go to the bathroom and give them one hour break.

Jeff Bezos does not "make" $27.8 billion per year. Not even close to it. He probably actually makes about $2-3 million per year. You are conflating INCOME with APPRECIATION OF ASSETS. Jeff Bezos has no control over the value of his stock directly. The market controls that. He owns 11% of Amazon stock, so when the millions of OTHER people who trade Amazon stock collectively decide that the value of that stock increases, the value of Bezos' 11% stake increases. This should be common sense, but folks like you entirely miss it. This isn't income to Bezos. It's not cash in the bank. It's simply the value of his portfolio. His net WORTH increases because the WORTH of his stake in Amazon increases because the MARKET decides its value increases, and then media idiots present this increase in the value of his stake as "income" and propose he made that much money - - - - - and then demonize him for not paying taxes on it - - - when 0% of people pay taxes simply because the value of stocks they hold increase in value.
