Top analysis Tyronne... the management is trying to bring chelsea to the top, irregardless of some poor decisions here and there but getting Poch out was a big positive, I could not bear seeing Poch's tactics that had Caicedoand Enzo running the whole pitch like Galladogs. A lot of these analyis are done with the assumption that teams will press higher but most teams chelsea face in prem tend to play a low block. What de zerbi does in a low block will determine if chelsea get success or not. High line playing teams are not an issue, it's the low blocks which we cant beat

I would see it as 9. Nkunku, 10. Palmer RW. Jackson LW. Mudryk. Speed needed on the wings, intelligence needed to be in the top central positions. Also the two up top is where you would also need good finishers. I’ve known this style for sometime but it is a different take from Poch, although the box midfield remains but rarely do the LB or RB invert. Making Chilli the better player for this style, kind of. Cucu is the better passer/position based player. James and Gusto to battle it out on be right. CB’s should be Colwill. The other I would assume is Fofana for recovery pace and on the ball ability. French boys would be amazing cover. They will play very different in this set up. Enzo and Caicedo will truly shine too which we don’t need to speak about.

This almost has me convinced except for the emotional argument of getting another guy from Brighton...like why didn't they get DeZerbi from Italy before getting Potter, I guess the club hierarchy wasn't fully in place at that point. Well better late than never, if DeZerbi is a good fit then sure get him but I'm worried. Until I see us play the first 10 games of the season next year, my expectations are very low.

Colwill & Mudryk were really crapped for the entire season, Caicedo is bang average. You want De Zerbi? He lost all games with an experienced side to the potentials in Chelsea. What about managing 50 matches this season, winning 19 games, drew 13 and lost 18 ? A 38% win percentage is as bad as it gets. I put it to the clueless clown from clownlake. De Zerbi will end 10th or below next season. Brighton was worse this season than 2022/23 when he won 19 in 39 games, drew 7 and lost 13. Hence, PPG dropped from 1.64 to 1.4. He is really a mid-table manager but also perfect for a mid-table Chelsea who should not even in FIFA Club World Cup next year.

RDZ not a possession based manager jsut per how many passes he makes in his defensive third All his attacks are much of a counter attack and he is not a in game tactical coach comon check once u mount a mid block for De zerbi watch him fall

Check the stats he retains possession in deep areas of the pitch to create spaces high up that's why his attacks look like transitions

He plays a hybrid of deep possession football and a quick transition in attack. I think I like that. By recycling possessions in your own half it naturally pulls the opponent towards you, which in turn opens up spaces in the final third. This tactic works well when you have players who comfortable playing passes in between the lines, and many Chelsea players are very good at this. RDZ is a good fit for our squad.

@@Kareemkahel A coach of De zerbi level doesn't have a problem with being a yes man as long as he is handed top top talent day in day out... you see the problem with Poch is he thought he would get the best out of this squad with his high intensity pressing and running game but ended up failing himself and acknowledging a job he would not do... the whole world knows an Enzo and Caicedo midfield is a sitting one yet he did the opposite... he was unable to fashion a game play that fitted the player profiles we had and that is a failiure qs a manager... during preseason we had a really good team balanced with quality on pitch and bench, yet he allowed our best substitutes top young talents to go out on loan instead of insisting on havin em as back up to our first eleven now during the season we had an unrecognizable bench in certain games
