How RobTop HACKED Clubstep v2

Ever since the early days of the game, players have been trying to push the difficulty to the absolute limit. Even though extremely hard levels were initially frowned upon by most of the community, many people were still trying to push the barrier just a bit above with many of the resulting levels being highly remembered to this day. Except, many people failed and secret ways eventually became a huge threat to the rating system. If too many levels with hidden roads got rated, the leaderboards would become useless. RobTop had to act. And he did. This is the story of the first ever bot for Geometry Dash and how it was not only used to prevent players from easily cheating levels, but also how the game developer used it to cheat a completion himself. Let’s get started.

I think he didn't want people to know about it so it wouldn't be abused tbh. thats what i suspect since in the game files itself it was called "levelReplay" in 1.6 but in later it was changed to "levelInfo"

1:19 this is level is Fast Dead (ID: 169) and it's the only footage I could ever find of this level. it was also probably the first level ever verified in practice mode

edit: see zmx reply below it could be that ignore damage in the editor and the noclip that activates when playing back a replay are internally the same thing on some level, I've actually never looked into that

i'm not cvolton but the answer is no btw - editor collisions is entirely separate code from ingame collisions - the playback noclip only disables dying when you hit a harmful object/wall, but going out of bounds (or getting stuck in a very strange slope) will still kill you (unlike the editor ignore damage which will never kill you) - ignore damage disables calling the player destroy function in any circumstance, instead of disabling this function only during a specific condition in collision checking

it's only saved for levels you verify and there's a mod that allows you to see these for your editor levels but it doesn't have an easily installable release available
