Spam Mail For us who love him sure but for his money doesn't change too much.😉 I'm sorry for my "google-eng" but I want to say my opinion because I don't think people have clear the Federer money-value and now that him won against Nike (the RF brand) the value is even more; anyway Federer will continue to be a Rolex, Mercedes, Moet-chandon, Barilla, Uniqlo (etc) man even when doesn't play more (probably re-discussing some contracts). Not to mention the agency who founded with his agent (the one that organizes the Laver cup to understand); in short he already is a billionaire (and I'm sure he will use this money in the right way because is smart but a good man also).

How can you "love" this channel? He made two big mistakes in the beginning, which would make me question everything else afterwards so I stopped watching. While Federer was close to the top in season earnings, the last time he made most money in a season was 11 years ago - in 2009. And no, he is not a second place of ATP prize money leaders because of an inflation. Even adjusted for inflation, he would still be number two. I like and respect Federer but people seem to give him way too much credit where it doesn't belong. Which makes his other, real achievements, automatically less admirable.

Roger has a powerful intelligence and an amazing memory and would make a formidable diplomat. He is clearly good at making money and I would be delighted if he also tried to make the world a better place for humans to live. 2021 is proving to be a dreadful year with Covid rampant and Afghanistan once again at the mercy of murderous fanatics . We need someone who can inspire others to stop the anger , greed and nationalism which corrodes every effort to improve conditions for the average citizen.

@Christy Dolan Hi, I agree with you and appreciate your sharing from another perspective. Indeed, being in the public eye is a "game" in its own and he has played it well. And I'm sure this is together with the support and ideas of those around him. Well, I try to pick out the good things (and the bad if I'm aware) that I see and learn from them. Thanks for your honest sharing. I hear you. BE BLESSED!

Christy Dolan that doesn’t mean prostitute for corporate at all. Obviously none of us knew about that Tiger Woods scandal and he rightfully cut ties with him after knowing those things about woods. Since then now Woods is seen at box of Rafa at US Open does that mean Rafa is bad?
@__jan6113
@__jan6113 4 жыл бұрын
Christy Dolan endorsements work in both ways. The company gets benefits from emotions of people towards their favourites while athletes benefit financially as well since they aren’t going to play forever considering the physical limits in sports. Prostitution is selling yourself keeping moral values aside which isn’t done here. They don’t endorse bad or harmful things. Every athlete in every sport is involved with endorsement that doesn’t make them prostitutes imo. And if that forces them to keep the image clean than it’s rather good since so many people look up to them as role models and being a clean role model is better than abusive or disrespectful one without money. And anything when practiced over a certain amount of time becomes a habit which in his case since he is involved for more than around decade with these companies I believe is his habit to be nice and staying away from unnecessary scandals. In case of Woods more than friendship it was again because of involvement with Nike. Like before he was seen as friend of Roger in his box and after that scandal now a friend of Rafa which I don’t believe is a complete truth becoming friend of a rival suddenly while sharing endorsement with same company.
@__jan6113

Christy Dolan I agree with all other points. The only thing my mind somehow can’t accept is calling them corporate whores since it sounds disrespectful. Though it was nice to see a different perspective.

The world knows he's a great athlete, but other tennis players understand how amazing he is ….more. His court sense and physical skill is unsurpassed. Other players are focused on footwork or some mechanic etc. but he's past all that it seems. His job to himself is to just stay in that perfect intuitive zone, and the rest takes care of itself. And it all comes out so much more graceful than anyone at that 'mechanic' level.

He has been consistently in list of top 10 most marketable athletes since last decade despite him not winning slams for those 4 years. Ticket prices for his matches are insane and stadiums are almost full for his casual practice sessions as well.

This is a great video! Cannot forget the 2019 Latin American Tour. It was a huge commercial success and people sold-out the exhibition matches to watch Federer.

In Switzerland i feel like there are more and more people being critical about Roger Federer. There are multiple reasons for this. First he was voted 7 times swiss sports man of the year between 2003 and 2017. He mostly was in Dubai at this time of the year and never came for the Gala that got sent life in swiss TV. So he stayed and trained during winter mostly in Dubai instead of a Switzerland and at the same time tell how much he loves it back home etc. which didn't really sound honest to many people. Then there was a phase where nearly none add on swiss TV didn't show Federer. Also in some adds from insurance companies which were probably a few millions here and there for him with money that could have been used to pay people who relied on the insurance to pay for e.g. hospital bills instead of add some more millions to Roger Federers bank account. The other thing was with his mansion in Valbella. He built a huge house and placed a gigantic wall around it (maybe call it: The Great Wall of Roger). The other people in the village were not happy about it. Now he started to build his new mansion in Rapperswil at the Lake Zürich. Some of the points were that the land he bought was never for sale and often they said that this part won't be sold, because it's one of the last public access areas to the lake in this part. Then suddenly a 18'000 m^2 area is sold to Roger Federer in an area where dense building is requested for normal projects. But just because it's him all those principles suddenly don't count anymore.
