4/8 - Royale High Updated! - They removed two-year round sets allegedly due to “copyright,” meaning the cheapest year-round set is Miss Lady Rose at 76k. The only other option is Dear Dollie at 120k. - They renamed the Cherry Blossom Kimono Set to remove any cultural references to the Japanese Kimono instead of giving it a rework. - You can buy dorm saves for 8k but you have to rebuy items to place in different saves. They are continuing to make the game unfriendly to the main instincts that drive them, in this case, self-identification and collecting.

Royale High was originally a silly game where you could roleplay as a princess, fairy, or whatever else you wanted to be, go to classes with your friends, and try to get all the items you wanted to make your dream outfit. Now it's a mindless grind for diamonds with only the occasional interaction with other people, and you can't even go to prom anymore. It could be compared to Bloxburg in the sense of the grind, in that case, but at the very least you could roleplay once you finished making your house; in Royale High you grind for the items you want and then quit the game until something new drops.

Also, with the role playing section, you CANNOT have role plays in which you have your own room, where you sleep, spend free time etc due to the fact you have to pay for everything, and it's all extremely overpriced, People are on average spending 400k-2M on their dorms, combining that with the fact it would take an hour or so to get even 20k WITH 6x multipliers makes it extremely difficult to have a dorm.

As a person who's spent over 1 mil on my dorm outta pure boredom. I agree the dorms are way too expensive and kinda lack a lot items needed in a dorm. Barely any kitchen items, bathroom furniture doesn't exist. I had to spend extra trying to make a sink. No modern furniture like tvs or electronics in general.

What I find most annoying about this is I saw leaks for elemental dorm furniture (I personally assume you would of gotten some of or all of it w what element u chose) as well as elemental dorms which would of been AMAZING for roleplay and was so looking forward to both of them imagine the disappointment when I realised there was no elemental dorms or furniture

Even then, sunset Island is still the most fun way to grind diamonds. #1 choice when I want to grind. But God, its annoying. I want to put in effort, but there's never enough time, it would be nice to have a majority vote system to add time. Also just not enough reward for the effort, the most I can buy after an hour or two of grinding, is a necessary accessory needed to possibly get a top score (10k diamonds usually).

Hello another college dev here! All these points are fantastic, but I wanted to add a specific snag I noticed as to why the game is crashing so hard. The essential game loop has never once changed, so us older players (the highest game audience percentage) get loop exhaustion from going from point A to point B to point C and then repeating that same line of work over and over again. Good games either keep you engaged with harder UI skills and a steep learning curve to master or a more complicated/changing loop that gives the player illusion of uniqueness. RH has become such a monetary based system (both microtransactional and ingame) that the devs have pretty much abandoned any game loop revival or update. Even yearly events are recycled!

🙏🙏 love this and completely agree. it gets me every time knowing that the main audience of the game are already older players who keep playing for nostalgia and because they have all the items, but not even that is enough to keep them from getting bored of the game. unless they find a way to make it valuable of their time (whether it is through friend groups or like me, making videos), there’s nothing new and at this point we can expect the same updates over and over again. this is an amazing point, and one that i see can be hugely successful if implemented (though i doubt they will apply it 😔)

I remember playing back in 2017 when Enchantix had first dropped, and to me the game really went down once the new school came out. I remember playing the original campus when it first dropped and thinking it was the best thing to ever exist, back when there used to be a castle garden somewhere on the map. They have become so superficial with the maps they forgot to make them RP friendly, which is where a good chunk of players stems from. On pricing as well, I started an alt acc for the advent this year, and it spawned me with 50 diamonds. That's 2 bags of chips. No toothbrush, no mattress, no hairbrush.The game has been built to be literally impossible for new players. While people like me are leaving because the game is no longer functional, nobody can even start the game because you start with 1 quest slot, and if you get something like brushing your teeth or whatever you will be physically unable to complete it until you've made like 4,000 diamonds. They're literally deconstructing their own game.

The other problem that we can all can agree on is that Barbie REFUSES and I do mean REFUSES to hired adults to help this game get MORE updates out. Having a balance of both Teenage and Adult works to keep the game running is what they need. Teenage have VERY tight and BUSY schedules. You have school and after school activates they don't have item to worry about working on a game. The free time they have is when its nighttime (but their dead ass tired soooo) and the weekends (if they have free weekends because weekend events always take up all of your day. I know this from experience and didn't want to do anything after the big weekend event). Adults don't have much going on, all they have is work, college, chores, and a few fun activates. Adults have more free time than Teenages. Why? Because after 12th grade it is YOUR time to decided what you are wanting to do with YOUR life. I feel like the reason she doesn't want to hired more adults is maybe (and this is a big maybe) is because of greed or Launce is controlling who is being hired. Do you remember when Royale high valks said they would be going through "rehiring". I think they only fired the person doing Social media and told the new person to do better. But if Royale high doesn't want to hired anyone- COMMISSIONING IS A DAMN WORD TOO YOU KNOW. There are SO MANY talented people everywhere that can help. But they rather not get help and do it themselves. In conclusion Barbie needs to grow the f up and take more responsible in her game. If she so damn "passionate" about her game then she wouldn't have let it crash and burn so damn badly. Oh and fired Launce too

Royale high is where I created my first OC and got the name for my channel and accounts, it was such a big part of my childhood I was there since it was a Winx club game, but it was basically unplayable as soon as the newer school released. I was already having trouble being able to afford clothing in the game (I saved up forever just to be able to buy the basic skirt only for heels to release) and when the school released I genuinely could not play it without lagging and crashing (my family wasn't to very well off so i was playing on a windows 7 computer almost the same age as me and later a kindle.) It’s so sad, I loved the game. Absolutely addicted in 2019, it really is, I’m very disappointed. I loved role playing, introducing others, playing, grinding, just using and enjoying the game itself. Until, it became a huge grind game. More prices, I had worked hard, and lost my account. Then I kinda fell out of the game, (i had an account for 2019-2021) and when I joined back, maybe trying to gain that wonderful experience that meer memory being faint my pride and joy, it was too much. The new sets, the toxic people, the pressure and lessen of my love for the game. Truly, I *loved* the game, tears typing this. It just breaks my heart to see the community leave, the devs just giving up, most just…it hurts.

100k at most is a good limit. the mlr skirt, the first ‘big’ set, had the skirt alone 50k. For how detailed it was i’d consider it worth (also bc at the time there was easier and more efficient diamond farming methods). If the skirt is 50k and the corset 15-25k, I’d say with the addition of accessories it should round to bout a solid 100k. however if we take into account the lack of good diamond farming methods then yeah, 60k should be the price.

Yeah, as a mobile player, the game lags so badly for me my phone (an iPhone 16) overheats because of how much is going on, and I remember when I used to play as an elementary/middle schooler, I would only be able to play for 30 minutes to an hour at the most without it becoming unplayable before eventually kicking me off the server. this was so well put!!! and not to mention the lack of body and plus size representation in the game. im aware that most games dont have much plus size representation or body diversity anyway, but royale high is mostly about the outfits and bodies, which are supposed to be more “human like” than the classic roblox bodies. so many of the heels and bodices are incredibly skinny focused, and i remember seeing them and feeling pretty left out a few years ago as a younger teen. its difficult to play the game when you don’t look like anyone in it.

As a male player, I have not bought the new sets. *I hate them.* I don't care about collecting every item and I never did, but I used to be so excited when a male outfit came out because I could finally feel like it was worth getting a set. (After all, before that, everything was just sets for the girlies) Now I just don't care. There's no masculine body type anymore, the new "masculine body type" is just feminine with extra steps and it's terrible. They try to act like the game is "for everyone" but they're very clearly trying to erase the male player base from their game. Everything is pretty pastel pink (which I don't mind as much, "aesthetics" or whatever) and masculine body types are gone. It demotivates me to even touch the game when I used to play it when it was still in beta.

The only way to get a good chunk of diamonds Is from quest grinding (so leveling up) and it takes me 4-7 hours to get 50k in a private server with multipliers. No one wants to spend longer than 2 hours to get a digital fashion item. We have NO good classes to grind in yet. We have nothing. Quests are meant to be a sideline thing. Something you do 2-3 times for a little extra exp after a class grinding except we have no classes.

Royale High veterien here that stopped playing mid to late-2020: Me and my ex-boyfriend used to play so much on Royale High together, it's what brought us closer to dating! And knowing that that entire part of the game has been completely wiped is strangely dystopian... I remember I would trick boys into thinking I loved them before breaking their hearts, I remember meeting people in roleplays and doing fun reveals of "oh I'm secretly an alien," and so much more fun stuff. I wish people newer to the game could enjoy these fun things but I doubt they will be able to. Oh also campus 2 and 3 run HORRIBLY on my computer, hell I haven't been able to get into the new campus when I found out about it... just a pink screen and music. Campus 2 runs better but still it's impossible to run on my old and new computer.

i couldn’t have explained why rh failed any better. the major two last straws for me were the overpriced things and the lack of roleplay aspects. i was such a huge roleplayer in rh until late 2022 - early 2023, when roleplay almost completely died out. i genuinely miss seeing people say “abc for rp!!!!” in the chat. and the absolutely ABSURD prices don’t help either. i’ve completely given up on rh, I have no hope for it anymore. i doubt the devs are actually going to make it as good as it was before.

I made my dorm, and every single time I rejoin there’s a painting that’s always tilted, no matter how many times I fix it and make sure it saved, every time I rejoin it’s slightly askew. Also, Royale high was glitching so bad for me that I could fly through the walls and get the headmaster’s earrings without even unlocking the door. Every time I try to get back into RH, I end up dropping it again because it's just stressful. It's to the point where it's near impossible to get any of the seasonal items because by the time you get enough Diamonds, it's too late and you have to wait for another year. The Hunt event is the same as the one a few years ago, except it's worse because the RNG on the new items are so awful, you end up with tens of duplicates. Then there are the facts that there are things like the Whimsy Witch STILL doesn't have sleeves, and one of the bodice toggles is STILL broken! Trading is an absolutely miserable experience, and the grind for diamonds isn't even fun anymore because the quests are so boring. The dorm system is awesome, but it's so horribly expensive that it becomes difficult to get anything. Until recently, my dorm didn't have anything besides a mattress on the floor, a toothbrush, a laptop, and a brush because everything was so expensive and I could barely afford anything when I was also trying to get my dream items but couldn't. Even then, I could only make my dorm look better because my friend gave me the diamonds to buy some actual furniture, and because I had items from the Advent Calendar. There's no socialization. No roleplaying, no friendship, nothing. There's nothing besides grinding. And the lack of transparency from the developers is especially frustrating. We don't have any idea of what's being worked on, or what's being prioritized, etc. We get maybe a small few updates that add actual content EVERY YEAR. Updates that add things to do, new locations, new minigames are sparse, and instead it's just "buy this new set! look at these hairstyles! new dormitory furniture!" I have a very good computer, and it can handle quite a bit. It's a GAMING LAPTOP, and Royale High runs absolutely awful. Low FPS, long loading times, lag, things not loading in. My system can handle a lot, but it can't handle a single ROBLOX game on graphics 1. I understand that Campus 3 can't be one giant server because those issues would be even worse, but even with it being segmented into different places, it still runs like garbage.

I think what made me move on from Royal High was the release of the trading system, though I played sparingly before that. I wanted to roleplay and write a character, but I had to grind to earn the in-game currency to even begin to get the items I wanted for my character. When the testing place for trading was released, I was so freaking excited! In the testing place alone I traded until I had everything I wanted, and I was so excited to try and do the same on the main game. Then trading released and.. You had to be a higher level than I had gained in 4 years. To this day, I've never gotten to that level. That's what put me off of the game. If I wanted to be able to customize my character like how I wanted, I'd have to put down roleplaying and grind, or alternatively pay heaps of robux. If I want to play a monetized dress-up game, I can download something on my phone.

I spent way too much time farming diamonds to build my dorm, and while my dorm is very beautiful now, I can’t say I’m satisfied. Not because I think it’s bad, but because it cost *so* much time and money that it wasn’t rewarding once I finished it. Then I accidentally lost my daily streak and that’s when I completely abandoned ship, since I was only joining daily to keep that streak up (and battling the extreme lag to get to my dorm’s laptop) I’ve been playing Royale High since 2018, and I was always extremely broke and had the worst clothing and body type. Then I came back when Campus 3 was added, ended up caving and buying the 4x diamond pass, and now I actually make diamonds at a rate worth a damn. My avatar no longer looks disgusting, but I can still say the prices are disgusting. Accessories, shoes, gloves, they’re all expensive for the sake of making us play and grind as much as possible, and for this reason, I despise halos. Halos were never that appealing to me (aside from Witching Hour) so as someone immune to their fancy overpriced charm, I really don’t like the odds of getting any of them; I went to the fountain for almost 2 months trying to get the Solarix halo and eventually just gave up. Again, their rates are purely to get people to keep grinding. I actually met my long time friend and fellow roleplayer on Roblox nearly a decade ago, but nowadays I prefer to just roleplay with her on Discord rather than participate in any Roblox roleplays, so Royale High’s roleplays, albeit hilarious, never appealed to me. What I can say though is they added so much life to this game, it felt like a living school sitcom full of teenage drama and it was beautiful. Nowadays no one is roleplaying, just grinding as many levels as possible to get diamonds to buy the new hot shoes for 80k diamonds in the latest set. The best interaction I’ve seen in years was a person dressed in the new deer outfit from last winter coming up to somebody and saying ‘wanna become furries’ lmao Last note about unnecessary grind: Locking stuff like resizing furniture and changing wallpaper and flooring behind the star rewards system, because this game totally needed more grinding for a feature most building games have by default. I’ve seen and played several Roblox games I now despise or don’t play anymore (looking at you, Sonar Studios), but a catastrophe on such a scale of Royale High is a rarity. I personally feel I’ve seen worse examples of greed in Roblox games, but in terms of actual gameplay, Royale High is definitely up there for how much it fails to make anything you do feel rewarding.

i feel you- i was never much of a halo person either, and the star reward system is also frustrating too. it’s extremely unfun. and i agree with you with that last sentence. at this point i don’t consider it a “game” anymore.

The fountain and halos were so annoying. I’ve been a player from 2018 and for the duration of my time playing, I would always go to the fountain. I’d say for 4 months consistently after quitting for a while, I went more frequently thinking that I’d hopefully get a halo because I’ve been a long term player and I just wanted to test my odds more though I know it’s just mainly up to pure luck. I just gave up trying to get a halo seeing that a player who’s account could be like a week or few days old could get a halo but me, a player for like 5 years couldn’t get anything. I mean, lucky them! But It was just so demotivating. Not to mention how everything was so so overpriced so I couldn’t even trade for a halo even though I preferably wanted to win one.

I love how in depth the analysis is and how Royale High has strayed so far from their own game. And even then I don't think Royale High can be at their peak anymore since new players struggle to even be in the game, which also fails a purpose of the game in the long run as player regeneration is important for a game's longetivity. Honestly, unless they manage to change or implement something major and bringing innovation into the game, Royale high is as good as a dead triple a games.

i remember how rh used to be back in like 2018! I loved the mermaid tails and the fairy wings so much, Even if it was hard to get diamonds back then that didnt matter because I was to busy just roleplaying and having fun. Rh now is completely different yet the same at the same time, It has better items now yeah but roleplaying isnt a thing anymore.. and getting diamonds is now just as hard as it was back then. Ive been blessed with having gamepasses BUT I KNOW how hard it is for people who dont have that recourse, Its literally impossible for newbies to get into rh because they cant get a single good full set in rh. The problem is, they now think that everyone is rich as hell and can afford a 1million diamond bed. I’ve been playing since 2018 and it used to be a fun little game to roleplay as a princess, and dress up your character! But it slowly became too expensive, everything was so overpriced and now, pretty much no new players can get to such amounts, and anybody that doesn’t own a double or quadruple diamond pass, unable to get to such heights, trust me, I’ve tried, and it even worse now that they removed enchantix. They are walking away from its original objection, a fun dress up roleplay game. It’s just becoming a game to endlessly grind. I had to make my own bed out of a mattress and a shelf. The both cheapest items because of how necessarily expensive every dorm item is. They have absolutely fallen off. I quit when it started to get like this. I didn’t realise that then, all I saw was myself not enjoying it anymore. But now I see, it’s because it wasn’t what u remembered it to be. Occasionally, I try and get into it again but it’s just all grind and it bores me. That have failed in the game design indeed

I used to play it in 2016-2020 and I remember when there was the old lobby, and also the old schools where you got powers and lived in apartments with themes and other fairies, and the mini games like taking care of children etc.. it was so fun and I loved role-playing there. I haven't touched roblox since 2022 but I heard they took out the prom which is so disappointing.. in the old game you didn't need a lot of diamonds and people would just role play with each other regardless of the items you had.. the game is so soulless and classist now.

i feel like i see why people think trading ruined Royale High, but peak RH was after trading, I think that it all went downhill after the events started getting repeated (i.e. updates being recycled, the dewdrops event sticking for way longer than it should be, etc.). But even then RH still kept a steady balance considering the fact that the quarantine was over. The real problem arrived when the new school came, and people realized how this was NOT what they had in mind. It fell to an all time low when Halloween was recycled and the new Christmas update saw the leave of Snowglobe Summit. Honestly, RH should have never created a new campus, imo the new school existing ruined the game, and the fact that they are now announcing RH4 makes me furious because as Abby Lee Miller once said.. " JOJO, HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING!?"

I think the main thing that drove me away from Royale high was the lack of research done for clothing and events. Like for Lunar New Year they just slapped whatever without doing any research as to what the celebration meant and contained. Also not to mention but the cherry blossom set just basically "princess"-ified the kimono which is supposed to be more flat and retangle like, not puffy and curveous.

I miss when it was just a winx club type game. Also, one way to REALLY help the game is to simply make accessories less expensive. There's no reason I should have to play for 10 hours straight just for a skirt. I love dressing up my avatar, building a house, decorating rooms, whatever but what is the point in doing any of that if it's going to take me forever for me to finish ONE fit that I like. Especially since I'm in college now, I simply do not have the time like I used to in middle school or during quarantine.

I am a returning player kinda, since i have played royal high for 4 years non-stop and basically have all game passes(yes ever that super expensive one). But like a year or two i just lost interest and stopped playing RH at all and didn't really know what updates it were getting. I remember watching the trailer for the new campus last summer, and it reminded me so much of Ever After High, like, the school from the show. They branded the campus as roleplaying friendly, giving a magical sense to the game. I was excited for that; I'm constantly complaining about how transaction based the game had become, especially with trading and high pricing. But, then, when the campus actually came out, not only was it NOT roleplaying friendly, but it even *promoted* all the things they seemed to have been trying to stray away from. Now they've realized their mistake, are making a campus freaking 4?? One can really only ask what the hell they're trying to get at anymore.

I'm probably very biased about this, but one thing I noted when playing the 3rd campus was how empty it felt after I got used to it. Like some locations never made sense to me like where you would find the door to the locker courtyard before it was removed. I expected the school to resemble an actual school and the locker courtyard lived up to most of expectations, then it was removed. I feel like the whole map just had a lot of empty spaces here and there with some bits and pieces that were used to fill it up. I was expecting stuff like grand hallways with arches and maybe multiple open courtyards like an actual fantasy royal school, but there wasn't. Of course, this could just be me being picky and I know that the devs worked really hard to make the school live up to people's expectations, but it missed out on the one key aspect of the entire game: It's called "Royale High" meaning players would expect it to look and function like a school so that people can easily crowd around in one server and give the place a school atmosphere, therefore adding to the roleplay aspect that the game built off of and what everybody was hoping for. The locker courtyard was done right and so was the office, but not the main campus? It just felt weird to me. Edit: I wanna add one more thing. Why do we not get a starter dorm? Like, why was all the furniture expensive? Royale high failed to remember that a new, up-to-date map would mean that new players may join and they can't afford anything. Royale high was more focused on catering to their already existing players rather than catering to ALL their players. But then again, their dorm hype worked because I spent over 500k diamonds on my dorm. Worst decision of my life.

speaking about social aspects meshing with aesthetic ones- one thing i will always miss is the original dorms from campus 3! the semi-circle layout of dorms that all faced inwards, especially on the slight curve that actually turned many doors to face each other slightly, made it feel far more social and organic to me! and as well, the place felt relaxing and sleepy, all facing towards the pool area where people could hang around. i loved this original dorm area, i thought it felt pretty, but social and comfortable too. however the new dormitory area feels really cold and impersonal to me- can you imagine walking down that long, creepy hallway at night with the towering ceiling and no distinctive features? yes the doors face each other, but it honestly feels forced to me, and from a gameplay aspect the new dorm area suffers as well because it lacks any real landmarks it always takes me a good few seconds to figure out which end of the hallway im on , and then i have to run all the way down this long as heck corridor to reach the bathing quarters! meanwhile the original dorm area had the bathing quarters easy to reach in the middle, cutting the travel time way down. plus the loss of the pool-related quests cutting down the variety of things to do. the new dorms just feel less social to me- it feels weird to hang out in the corridor and chat with people becuase its just. a cold corridor. no features no balconies to look out from, benches, pool sides. similar thing with the locker courtyard being removed, it was such a nice balance of social and gameplay elements. whenever i went there people would be chatting over their study quests while they waited for it to finish, about the game, outfits or their lives. it fulfilled lots of quest needs too so you wouldnt have to travel around as much (vending machines, classes, bathrooms etc). like you Knew you could always find someone to do study quest there, since it was an area designed to look like you could study, and socialize! and since it had bathrooms, you didnt have to go all the way to the bathing quarters to fulfill a lot of the quests! idk. i mean, do you really see people chatting comfortably in the castle heart? i think they should have kept that one quest from the Winter event- about the cold wind blowing out the candles lol. it never feels all that warm to me lmaooo sorry had to have my emo moment also your point of going to new areas meaning leaving the server- there's so many things like that that interrupt or ruin roleplay now. the system of appearing at the door accurate to where you entered, instead of just a central Spawning location (like the shimmerglobes in castle heart) annoy me to no end, bc while i can understand the intent to make the map feel more immersive, it almost never works for me. whenever i walk to a new area, i almost Always appear at the default spawn location, start running toward whatever task i want to do, almost get there, then get teleported back to the door!! it just yoinks you right out of any game flow. and i bet it really messes with rp too. their attempt at immersion backfired real bad so many things about the new campus actively make the game less social, and i wasn't even a roleplayer! i don't roleplay in rh! i just like the minigames and the outfit system! but even I can recognise how the obstacles to social play negatively impact the player experience now p.s sorry for the rant!! this was a really interesting video, thank you to both of you for the discussion and insight!! p.s.s also is anyone having this annoying issue of everytime they go through doors or to a new area, their outfit gets messed up?? its so annoying!! its a dressup and customization game, but everytime i put one on, save it, edit outfits, or WALK THROUGH DOORS, my outfit gets corrupted with random elements changed!! it's really started to bother me. why should i bother spending time making outfits if the game never saves them properly long enough for me to Walk through a door?

I still play RH but not like before anymore, since I’ve heard they removed masc, rising the prices, roleplays aren’t there often, toxicity, etc. I slowly started stopped playing it. It’s pretty disappointing how RH devs mostly Barbie and launce don’t care about what the community is complaining and wants the money from your (parents) wallet. If they want RH to be interesting and have new players be welcomed with like cheap items, they need to do something about it. I’m also highly disappointed that they said they will release a new set only to be delayed, set on another event/ next year and cancelled. I also realized that whenever an update is near to be launched, it’s delayed for more than a week. I am not surprised anymore about RH just slowly digging deeper in its grave and having greed on the spotlight.

I was not playing royale high for long, as i started in 2022. I gave up a few months ago due to the lag. (I’m a mobile player) I actually moved to a really cool “rip off” game called Astro Renaissance. It’s very new player friendly and it doesn’t feel pay to win! Definitely recommend 👍

These are things that made me, personally quit for the first time (Note, I was a casual RH player): 1. They updated pricings which made everything pricey (And I have 4x diamonds gain, and it was still hard). 2. They changed all the diamonds locations (spawn) and they put less diamonds. This was during their price change. Why I quit the second time: 1. Things above have not been changed. 2. They added a new exps, where you have to level a journal? Or w.e from scratch because your previous rank even thought it exists and it's shown DOES NOT matter for absolutely ANYTHING. 3. The missions for gaining said exp are not well explained, there is nowhere on RH that explains HOW TO DO THE MISSIONS. (Thus making you spend hours on searching and looking tutorials which most of videos are mixed with older version, making your search an absolute tedious job). Some of them are even bugged and not completing after you are supposed to complete the task. 4. The new campus looks gorgeous but it's also absolutely horrid to play in. Actually, there really is nothing you can do on new campus. It's not fun. 5. Traveling through the maps is hideous, it took me a while as a return player to figure how to move to the old map. Which I did every time I joined 'cuz as mentioned before there nothing to do on new campus except sweat and grind. This was during new campus 3 release. Its pity because it started really good until I finished the element exams and got tp to campus 3. I noticed lack of sets during the times I came back to RH, but they DID NOT bother me 'cuz I couldn't afford them anyways with them being INSANLY pricey and getting diamonds compared to before being very time consuming, unless I spent minimum 2-3 full days of nothing BUT GRINDING. Which, I will not do as a casual player, nor do I want to put myself through that torture to just satisfy how I look better or more unique than other players. Didn't care about it back then, don't care about it now.

(Ok haven’t played in a while) What in the world even is Royal High anymore? Where is the classes? The royal ball? Everything? It was one of the games that felt like you were an actual student with classes, and work. The interactions with items weren’t “just there”, they actually affected the character. You had a schedule, you had fun events, you had all of this without having to actually interact with people to have fun! I recently played it and it’s just…too much, everything is too flashy and over the top, while also making the environment bland and blocky. The new school layout looks like a knockoff. Last year, I would happily say that if you liked the things I listed above Royal High would have been perfect, the only things that updates would add would be clothes and holiday items, but no they changed the entire layout of everything and just ruined it. I can’t even stand to play through it to see if the school mechanics(Classes, grades, homework, schedule, royal ball) were still in tact, because the game is just too overwhelming now, and kind of ugly looking now.

The one thing I really wanted to see with the new campus release was roleplaying coming back. I was so sure SO SURE. That roleplaying would boom again. And it didn't. There's a lot to look at in the campus, not a lot to do, and not actually that many items which can really be roleplayed with. I don't think I'd ever be able to quit royale high fully, but I sure as hell don't spend 5 hours on there like I used to after school. The way I'd genuinely get back and open my laptop just for royale high will NEVER be outmatched. RIP the joys of Royale high, never to see the light of day again. Also even the classes so far are just minigames. I can't just go in there to roleplay, it's practically impossible. Like I'm aware the other classes were technically minigames too, but you could walk into there at any time without attending the class, since there was SPECIFIC class times, making the whole thing actually roleplayable.

After being rich in rh there's really nothing lefted for me. I decorated me dorm to the max. I got my dream halo. I own most of the sets that I like. I have over a mil diamonds. There's nothing lefted for me to do anymore. I've been just been playing other games. Yk a lot of people talk crap about Astro Renaissance but at least it has more playable content. It has a storyline and the quests are actual rewarding and fun to do. It saddens me when you compare the 2 and realize that rh devs aren't really putting in the effort. For the season of spring, rh released 10 new items, reused the egg hunt, new set. While Astro in the same time frame, released a new quest, 2 new sets, 4 rework sets, 16 new items, a pagent, and a quest for the hunt.

There’s a mini game that randomly pops up on your screen where you need to guess the right photo and I hate it so much, because it loads so slow. Even when I leave the game it’ll still be there and I can’t fix it so I just try to spam click if it even loads the pictures. I think there’s a bubble one too unless they got rid of it.

I'm a boy who used to play royal high back when it was just the one map (Bc of my sister dragging me into) decided to check it out again recently and it wasn't even close to being even slightly fun, I somehow had more fun being forced to play early versions of the game than I did playing it recently on my own, the lack of masculine customization also kinda hurt the experience I could excuse it in the earlier versions, but it baffles me seeing how nothing changed in that area

I think the communication part stands out to me the most for what it's known for, especially the teleportation system . 15:25 I suspected that it would be difficult roleplaying that way in public server when I first saw this feature, so the element of roleplaying is already out of the way. Another problem with teleporting to different servers is that sometimes the loading itself takes forever. I know it is a high quality game that'd need high functioning devices but that just pushes away normal players who doesn't have such better devices. Or maybe that's just my problem lol. But my point is, even playing normally is a bit of an obstacle sometimes, so I'd prefer everything being in one place like campus 2 rather than campus 3.

My whole game is broken, my avatar doesn't work, I can't pick up gems. This is all so sad to me as Royal high was a HUGE part of my childhood and I'm so heart broken it's so ruined now :(

For me, as soon as they got rid of the formatted class/prom/bedtime/homework system I lost interest. I was there because it was fun to travel from room to room, roleplay with my fiancee and be silly. Now it’s just a Stand There Simulator. :/
