Denauth despite the unfortunate circumstances they got dropped into, is handling everything so well, and they really feel like the perfect addition to Niji. Even though so many good things are happening in NijiEN, this new wave really does feels like a breath of fresh air to me, and a much needed sigh of relief. It’s clear they know what they’re getting themselves into and is not afraid to talk about and call out weird speculations, they address things immediately and aren’t afraid to be confrontational. Each of them are unique in their own way, & you can really see the passion they put into their content, but the most important thing though, is the bond all the members have with each other, despite ryoma being the only male between 2 girls, along with the biggest age gap between members, they feels like a family more than anything, already planning to have weekly game collab and monthly variety show collab tgt. With how much passion and positivity they brought to the table, it looks like they debuted at the perfect time. After all that had happened, THIS feels like the start of something new, and that we really are moving forward. I really adore this new wave and wish for them the best ueueueue 💙

It is a bit ironic that the series of events have actually reinvigorated my enjoyment of watching Nijisanji vtubers again. Ever since Mika left, I just didn't watch streamers anymore. I watched her practically everyday, she was part of my winding down process after work every day so not having that sent my equilibrium out of balance. Now she streams on a different platform at the time frame I would head out the door to go to work so I can't really get into watching her anymore which makes me a bit sad. Then everything blew up and at first, I was watching how things were unfolding but the more I got into it, the more I realized that everyone's mad, but we're not listening to both sides of the argument/discussion. There's clearly two different sequence of events that unfolded, but we're creating our own set of logic and biases in order to suit what we think happened vs. what everyone who's actually involved stated what happened. Then vtuiber news channels became drama channels, then streamers became vtuber drama channels despite hardly knowing the context behind anything. I wasn't sure how to take the news. At first I was upset, but at the same time, with who? I didn't watch Selen and I've never been a fan of corporate Nijisanji in the first place. Sure, I can be mad at what happened with Selen, I can be mad at what happened to Pomu, I can definitely bare a grudge for what happened to Mika, but Selen/Zaion was clearly not a good fit for a corporate setting like Nijisanji and Pomu had her own disagreements with Nijisanji and left. The fan in me hates what they did to ID, but the logic person in me thinks damn, what can you do? Hololive definitely took over ID, Niji can't afford to give them great things with these numbers as much as it infuriates me to agree with that. Should I be mad at Elira for effectively being scared that her IRL friends were the target of a harassment campaign? Should I be mad at corporate for feeding us bullshit (Yeah, we should definitely be mad at them, but I never supported the compnay in the first place and I think...most fans don't either) So then it became obvious that, instead of getting mad, take a step back and just drop everything. This isn't vtubing, this is BS. Take a step back and remember what it was like to watch vtubing as a fan. Then I started watching an Enna stream that I haven't watched in a while and damn, she's terrible at games but she's so good at making me laugh XD. Then Elira started playing persona 3 again. I started settling down again and remembered that THIS is what vtubing is all about again. Then it started to occured to me that...most of these people don't even watch Nijisanji. How are you going to tell me there's a massive amount of people who dropped Nijisanji with subscriber drops and all that but if you actually look at the Liver's view count when they do live streams, i've hardly noticed a difference? Maybe live views went down a small amount but in the grand scheme of things, I don't even notice a difference in live viewers from what I remember. I realized the entire thing is a big hate raid without any actual substance to it. It's a farce for drama channels to earn easy money. All of a sudden, I'm dropping vtuber news channels left and right. This isn't the vtubing I remember it to be. This isn't about cute anime girls doing cute things, it's about cancel culture because people are trying to force vtubers to quit their agency out of fear they will be dropped when most of these people never supported them anyways. I think that is the general takeaway of the entire fiasco. Those that actually support the Livers stayed, and those who casually watch or just watch clips left. Personally, I enjoy the Livers of Nijisanji. Clearly, I don't like every Liver, but I do enjoy watching the Livers that I do enjoy more than any other agency out there. Let people talk, let them say what they want, let them leave, it's not going to stop me from watching the vtubers that I enjoy watching and supporting and from what I'm seeing, it's not stopping the fans from supporting their Livers. Lets enjoy the Livers we love and to hell with everyone else. My biggest gripe right now? WTF Enna? How the F am I suppose to watch you play Elden Ring when you stream at the same time Elira is playing Persona 3? You're asking me to choose between malding Enna and Elira's hilarious interactions with Maya. Damn guys...looks like I'm going to have to double up the streams for this one.

You put that into words perfectly, the entire situation just reinforce my love for the niji livers even more tbh, it’s easy getting mad seeing all the drama and hate being thrown around, but when I finally sit down and watch their stream, all the discourse just seems so…meaningless? At the end of the day, my oshi is still there being her silly self, having the time of her life driving off cliffs & giving long ass tangents about the most random topics, it’s just so fun to watch, and it helps me remember the reasons why I gravitate towards them in the first place. Yeah I mainly watch Enna since I fit her humour the most, but I also adore all of the other livers so much, they just seems like genuinely kind and hard-working ppl, & niji feels like a group of friends having fun together. It’s relatable, it’s fun, and it’s exactly what I need to relief stress. Other’s opinions doesn’t really matter, they don’t even watch them, so as long as I’m still having fun, I’m gonna keep watching and supporting them 😌

I think that there is no way to know who is a good or bad person behind the screen. The livers are getting hate thrown at them for what the company has done in recent months and I don't think that's fair to them. Sure I won't watch Uki for his racist comments but otherwise I will continue to watch. I won't actively support them money wise because I don't know how much a cut goes to the liver themselves and what goes to the company and others. I think Denauth is very strong for debuting and dealing with all this, hope the livers in Niji are doing well
@brownsugarissupreme2 ай бұрын
Regarding Uki and making apologies, I honestly think the fan base at the time was cultivated in a way that made the talent be trapped in a lose-lose situation whether they apologized or not. I'm not defending Uki's silence anyway but, remember how a lot of people were still not assuaged by Enna's and Kyo's apologies after their racially sensitive jokes, and Scarle's stream involving Starbucks. I viscerally remember the fandom just refusing to forgive, and using talents's vulnerability (bec they apologized) against them. Which makes me hypothesize that because of all of the above I just mentioned, that Uki decided ultimately not to apologize. I'm not saying he's not racist, but that even if he wasn't, would the fan base at the time be open to forgive him if he did apologize? Idk just something that made me dislike not just Nijisanji, but the vtuber community as well.
@misaki_8982 ай бұрын
@brownsugarissupreme the people going for uki were not fans though. Remember that the only reason 'uki is a racist' debate came up was because an anti baited him that question on a series of tweets where niji en livers showed support for fanartists who were harassed at conventions (this was after february when the hate for niji and fans were the strongest). The thing with Kyo and Enna also went outside of the intended audience after Kenji shared the clip in outrage. Non niji and vtuber fans also got themselves involved in the whole drama. While Scarle's response initially caused upset among the fans because of the way she shut down someone in chat informing her of the genocide (also this was during a very sensitive time worldwide), but later in the same stream she apologized and most just let it go. The only reason it seems like 'niji fans refused to forgive the talents' is because dramatubers milked that shit way after everything is solved.
@brownsugarissupreme2 ай бұрын
@@misaki_898 yeah I should have included the vtubing community in my post. With that clarification, the argument makes more sense. With the actual Niji fans, the casual vtuber fans outside of Niji, and the "fans" (really niji's devoted haters from twitter and 4chan) in mind, if you have a community (including the haters) with a loud portion which anticipates one screw up from you, you could decide to either walk on eggshells and appease the whole community or decide to just fuck it and not apologize for any transgressions. With the latter option, you get to keep a part of the community that will always love you no matter what you do. If Uki (and any talent's) case is the latter, then Uki's refusal to apologize and the talent's current perspective about their haters make a lot more sense to me. Why please the people waiting for your downfall? Why apologize to your haters?
