There's a lot of nonsense online about these "magic" procedures, but from a purely medical standpoint it seems to cause massive amounts of damage to the epidermis promoting the widespread growth of scar tissue. Scar tissue is harder than normal tissues in this area so it gives the appearance of smoother skin and fills in wrinkles. It also welcomes a huge increase in risk of skin cancer. Your cells are constantly dying and reproducing, and every reproduction has a risk of creating cancerous cells. Normally your body does a good job catching and killing these cells, but occasionally they get through and can cause the condition that we call "cancer". The laser itself doesn't cause cancer or anything like that, but it causes a massive amount of damage over a widespread area, hugely increasing the risk of a cancerous cell being produced and not caught. That's the reason why so many people get skin cancer from being in the sub and not wearing sunblock. Sunburn causes a huge spread area of damaged skin cells, so your body kills the damaged cells and grows more to repair them, thus the higher risk of skin cancer developing.

The results were visible from the first treatment. The scab hasn't completely fallen off yet but overall my scars are less sunken, most of my PIH is gone with a few visible. So I highly recommend it unless you have really sensitive skin.

maybe try topical retinol (vitamin A), ive used the one from Geek&Gorgeous Agame 10 and ive seen some improvment in a couple of months. You coul also try glycolic acid toner (maybe the one from Ordinary) and dont forget spf every day! these are really affodable and should help. I also did my treatment today, but if you cant afford it, this is a good start!

Hye.. sorry its been a while... Well that treatment is really hurts, and there will be a dowtime to recover.. and you need to do several times for better result.. for myself, i have done it 4 times... What i can say after CO2 laser.. my face getting better, all acne scar, dark sport, pigmentation, even the fine wrinkles gone... My pores getting minimize.. i face look more younger i dunno y but thats what me and people around me notice... but the bad thing is face dries quickly and is very sensitive when exposed to the sun.. so i always bring my moisturizer and sunblock with me and im gonna apply it when i need it..... After the laser I used special creams to help the skin to recover quickly and to protect from infection. After the recovery I'm using a cream for not appearing akne again and makes a small peeling too. I use it like 2 or 3 times a week , only night (Vitamin A base + Salicylacid ) which a pharmacy is preparing it. I'm a medical student so I'm really careful of what I'm using and which doctor I trust. Try to find someone good and remember only one treatment is not enough.

Basically it shoots little lasers deep in your skin so that when your face peels off the new skin comes in and it removes dead cells that have collected over the years and in its place new healthy plump skin. It can help get rid of scars and smooth out wrinkles aswell.
