I just ordered one of these. I had no idea how quiet they are when I placed my order. A beautiful firearm. I’m in camp now and won’t be out for two weeks yet, but I’m very excited to get home now. Thanks for the video, it was well done.

So CCI Standard Velocity is the quietest. Notes taken and thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for making this video. I wanted to see the noise level before buying this rifle Amazing love it. It'll be awesome for hunting. And not annoying neighbours in backyard plinking.

Awesome video! I might have to check out that rifle. It would also be cool to see another video of you shooting the same ammo (say Federal for this example) to see decibel level between this rifle with and without the suppressor vs a shorter barreled. 22. Thanks for all the info! ✌️

Have a 457 American, 24.8” barrel, those long barrels really help with the sound especially when using subsonic ammo. I would imagine a 28” barrel must be really quiet. Also really like to be able to swap barrels and calibers so easily, I’ll be getting both the magnum and her barrels for mine.

I enjoyed your channel because you provide details of the equipment you used. I’m left handed user too when it comes to shooting gun or bow and arrow. I like the new CZ .22 Jaquar gun that you tested out in the Itah desert. Where do you ordered the gun from? I want to see if I can order that gun because it is made for left handed shooter. Do you mind to provide information where I can get it from? I am from Minnesota. Thank you.

Ahlmans in Morristown still has two on hand. $649 not sure if they are left handed though.

Awesome CZ. I really like my CZ 452 LH. Where did you find the Jaguar in LH model? Please give me the link thanks so much in advance. Nice rifle!!
@shootnitwithsos4354 жыл бұрын
I had a local ffl order it for me, mine os actually a right handed rifle but because I used the front facing camera on my phone to film it, the video is fliped in reverse, so it looks like a lefty but it is infact a righty 😊
@romans6two3384 жыл бұрын
@@shootnitwithsos435 Well that explains it. After I watched your video I went to CZ USA to see if they updated the Jaguar for lefties and couldn't see it. I may have to try to sell my 452 LR and get that Jaguar. I bet with that 28" barrel it is crazy accurate and somewhat quieter than the 452 length barrels. Thanks for your response and video.

Will you publish a video shooting rested on paper targets soon?
@shootnitwithsos4354 жыл бұрын
Yes I will, I have been set back just a little time due to some parts I ordered that are on back order. As soon as they arrive ill make a video with groups. I have shot a couple groups, but not fully tested. I used CCI clean 40 grn 1235 fps and got 2 groups of 3 rounds, 1 inch at 50 yards, so not great. But I didn't have the best rest system at that time. More to come.

How did you get the Jaguar to be in a left hand configuration?
@shootnitwithsos4359 ай бұрын
I should have mentioned this in the video, I get asked all the time, but it isn’t a left hand configuration, it looks left handed because I am filming with the front facing camera on my phone, and that camera reverses everything. Sorry for the confusion.

It took since January to get it in May. But I couldn't find it anywhere local, I had to have my FFL order it for me.

It took me three months constantly searching online before I was able to purchase mine. There was about a week long period the first week in May 2020 where a few online gun stores had them and they dried up real quick.

I've been looking real hard at these. Gun would be perfect if they didn't take a laser to it. Grip looks ok but that lettering is hideous. I have no problem refinishing a stock to my preferences but I shouldn't be forced to. Detachable mags are cool unless they are $60 like on this rifle. There's tons of low capacity .22 mags out there that are less than $10. No real innovation going on to call for that price tag as far as I can see, not when the funky figure 8 T-bolt magazines are less than $40 and can't rimlock. Don't even get me started on savage axis magazines. Cheapest rifle on the market until you lose the mag, then $300 turns into $390 faster than you can say "shoulda went fixed magazine".

When did people start needing ear protection for a 22 outdoors anyway? LOL Now manufacturers have sold the sheeple on a need for silencers. What???
@LawlessNate3 жыл бұрын
Standard velocity 22lr out of a typical barrel length (16" or shorter) isn't hearing safe. It's causing permanent hearing damage every time you fire. It's not as much damage as louder guns, obviously, but it's still damaging your hearing.
@nataliemurphy63612 жыл бұрын
@@LawlessNate Even this gun? I know it’s on video but this gun seems pretty quiet to me. I know other rifles def require ear pro but i’m looking into getting this model and the quietness is selling me.
@LawlessNate2 жыл бұрын
@@nataliemurphy6361 Out of that gun I'm not sure, but I'd guess it is hearing safe. If the bullet is below supersonic speeds that removes the sonic boom. It's a bolt action, so obviously that's not going to possibly be non-hearing-safe like an autoloader could. The question is if the barrel length is long enough to allow the bore pressure to drop low enough for that excess pressure escaping out of the end of the bore behind the bullet is hearing safe, which it very well might be low enough. What I was replying to is what you specifically said. "When did people start needing ear protection for a 22 outdoors anyway?" is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a universally true statement. Any .22lr firearm with a 16" barrel would not be hearing safe with standard pressure ammo.

For hunting. It is to not scare the game away for other hunters (or at least spook them a little less) .for range shooting it is to not bother other people . For home defense is to not blind and deafen yourself indoors during firing in the dark . A supressor is a comfort and courtesy attachement.

Very suipid idea to evaluate sound level of everything through KZbin - .50 bmg on some videos sounds more quiet.
