Watched this live, fate had one last twist to play. I was supporting Samay from the first day. I felt no one else had a chance, and I was right up until the group stage where samay was almost undefeated. But Biswa totally changed my perception. On one side is Samay, who was training and consistently playing with the best players. He himself said that he was training with Tania who's a GM herself, with GM Surya Ganguly before cob3. He was already a class above since he was playing with the best. But the others totally blew my brain. They got so much better, even were better than Samay for a long time. Biswa just barely lost since he didn't spot h3. Samay himself said he was gonna resign after this move and starting to prepare for cob 4. Congratulations Samay, nothing against you, in fact as I said always rooting for you. But the way the other comedians played was phenomenal. Except Joel, the other semi finalists are in their 30s which is considered to be old by chess standards. But the level of play was no less than a chess tournament. SAGAR SHAH IS THE GREATEST . PERIOD.

The number of times you hear the commentators say - "This is all over guys; no more chance for Samay" or "No way of a comeback here" or "Biswa/Joel is winning this", etc. and still Samay wins at the end talks a lot about the character and persistence of Samay, the player. N number of times they said that he has no chance and N+1 times Samay beat that and came out on top! And that too while managing all this OBS stuff! Just too much OP! ❤️ Also kudos to Sagar Shah! I believe the real winner is chess today. Its such a sport which can teach u about life like other sports do. The second game shows that in life one can never be comfortable because it can be snatched in a few seconds. Also the attitude shown by Biswa was something u never see. Most of us would have shouted loud, used cuss words but how cool was biswa showing us the actual way of taking defeat.
