Sasuke is not the same anymore so we need to let loose of connecting him to his past. His actions show clear change. The old sasuke would only gang up with people if they wanted to kill just like him. This sasuke mentors children to good so they won't turn out the way he did.

Kinda glad I didn't read this story because it would have made me mad. Sasuke had zero control over what Itachi did (just the opposite, Itachi was trying to control what Sasuke did), not to mention plenty of his OWN sins that these two could have held him responsible for. Sasuke wasn't even aware of this until it was pointed out to him. And even if he had been, clearly it was done while Itachi was undercover, and blowing that cover would have been silly, considering all that he gave up to maintain it. I can understand Sasuke wouldn't feel good about meeting Itachi's victims, but I have to say Sasuke having so much empathy for people with little to no connection to him, and yet he had almost none for the people who became his second family (at the time, anyway) would not be a good read for me. And look, I'm glad he changed for the better, but random people aren't the ones I want to see benefiting from that change. Why couldn't Sasuke run into a girl whose father is never home, or a wife whose husband is traveling for years at a time and never comes home?
