When Gabriel visited Daniel he came in physical form. When the three angels visited Abraham they came in physical form. Two of them left Abraham and visited Lot and brought Lot, his wife and two daughters out of Sodom and fire rained down on Sodom. they can have bodies. @@berachtdorian6191 First of all thank you for your input. I will give it some thought. He does not frighten me though. If I see what I think is an error or I am certain of it. I give a person the right to respond by commenting them of my probable objection. We are after all called to try the "spirits'. Some people with earnest hearts have been mal-informed and make expository statements to that effect. Five of the ten virgins don't even know why they became foolish (Matt 25:1-13). Most preachers do all sorts of "stuff" embracing a day God did not sanction yet these people act like he did endorsed them and still wonder why the Church lacks consistent luster but actively criticize those who try to get back to what God said.. The word of God will go out and not return void as per his promise about it. Not the effectiveness of man. It is better that we do not thwart the purposes of God. Many often publicly claim they wish the church today was like at the time the first Pentecost happened. At the first Pentecost the Spirit of the Lord was not hindered by a body rebelling against God promised sanctified sabbath. The Church today is a dry tree by choice. Like Israel going after Ai right after Jericho. I like most of Mark's teaching i have heard. But he said angels are only spiritual. I don't see that as accurate and supplied text that brings his statement into question. He is allowed to respond. Blessings!

Study again Genesis 9-12 and pay attention to what God did after destruction of Tower of Babel and confounding languages. Most of you have missed one event. God defined boundaries for 70 nations and put 70 angels to rule over them ! That’s is the reason they want people to worship them …to these day. However now, after Jesus taking the power from them - the angels rule illegally. This is the key to understand their presence and strong influence in the world. There are Angels called Watchers who supposed to watch over the people, there are fallen angels and there are angels who rule over nations. Paul calls them dominions, thrones and powers - does it make sense now ?

Notice that Marry got pregnant without sexual intercourse, so it seems it is likely that spirit gives life and not sperm although sperm maybe be necessary to trigger the body development in woman’s body. It seems also that angels can take human form but is it only temporary materialization or real flesh ? We don’t know. Maybe some angels crack the way earthly woman can get pregnant without sperm ? In India there are temples with inscriptions on the walls showing development stages of an embryo. Who knew about that thousands years ago ? We also know that for impregnating women the angels have been thrown into Tartarus, so they have done something extraordinary evil. I bet the angels did experiments on women in the past - before the Flood - and maybe found a way to bring spiritual reality closer to physical one. Interestingly, Hollywood shows us some horror movies when a women is impregnated by the Devil himself and the child is born.

Yes, it's funny that people forget SEVERAL times angels took visible human, material form. They even GRABBED Lot and his family and PHYSICALLY pulled them out of Sodom. That's about as fleshly and material as you can get. They exist outside of our dimensions. So just like we could interact with a 2-dimensional world, and affect what happens there, while they can't see us AT ALL, but only see the evidence of our tampering with their world. The canon of writings that we call the bible was established by a council of men deciding which books they wanted to include and which they weren't certain to include. The Ethiopian orthodox church has always recognized the book of Enoch as scripture, by what authority can you arbitrarily declare it is not with certainty? It would be one thing if you said "we can't be sure, be careful." but no, you are going around this whole comment thread declaring with certainty it is fiction. How do you know? Because it isn't the canon you believe in which was established decades after the time of the new testament?

I like this preacher, but he's a little off on this subject. Your spirit is what gives life to your flesh; your soul is your consciousness (mind, will, emotions). Whether you're good or evil, when you die, your flesh returns to the ground, and your spirit returns to the one who gave it. Your soul is either joined with your spirit in eternal Life, our lost in eternal suffering. Fallen angels had sex with women to create hybrid beings, like giants, and they also defiled animals - creating some of the creatures we call 'dinosaurs.' When the bodies of those creatures died, their spirits went wandering a perpetual state of unrest, parasitically seeking a vessel to inhabit - whether it be human, animal, or cursed object (haunted idol). So, demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim/Rephaim/Zanzumim/etc. The Hebrew words for "image" and "likeness" mean 'shadow' and 'blood,' respectively. YHWH's shadow is light, and as such, angels are created from this - that's why Satan can still appear as an angel of light. YHWH's blood is His spirit; even animals have His blood, which is why they can be used as sacrifices. Humans are the only beings that are made in both. Now, angels are spiritual beings, yes, but there's a difference between 'ruack' (spirit, wind, mind, breath) and 'neshamah' (breath, spirit, every breathing thing). They're the former, we're the latter. When we are born again, we become immersed in The Ruack. Angels can't possess things, only the unique abominable condition of demons can do that.

We are not a spirit, we have a spirit. There are two aspects of that. The first one, being the breath of life, what God breathed into the dust of man to animate us. The aspect of the word spirit being applied to us, is the non-physical aspect of us, like we can have a broken spirit. It's more the emotional, personality etc. Ie he has a gentle spirit, or a quiet spirit. Temperament might be a good synonym. We don't have a soul, we are a soul. Genesis makes it very clear. When God breathed into the dust of Adam, Adam BECAME a living Nephesh (being or soul). The world for soul is nephesh and it just means life, or living being. It says the sea was teaming with Nephesh (life or living beings). Nowhere in the Bible does it indicate we HAVE a soul, rather we ARE a soul. God forbade the drinking of blood because the Nephesh(life) was in the blood. None of us think that we have some soul that resides in our blood) Soul is literally, just a made-up word they injected into the Bible, that they got from the Greek Gnostic culture that infiltrated the church as it spread throughout Macedonia via Paul's evangelism. It was the Greeks the came up with the idea of the duality of man. A physical body and an immaterial soul that lives on after death. This is right out of Satan's deception from the Garden. God made it very clear; man would return to the dust from which he came. He did not indicate in any way that a portion of him would live on in another dimension or plane of existence. Nor do we have an immortal or eternal soul. To God ALONE belongs immortality. We don't put on immortality until the resurrection at Christ return. Read all throughout the Old Testament, when we die, our body returns to the dust, and our spirit(the breath of life) returns to God who gave it. There are no thoughts, love, worship, praise, knowledge, ANYTHING in Sheol (the grave) where ALL souls(beings) go when they die. WE are raised up on the last day. Not our bodies, but WE are raised up with NEW Bodies. That's all throughout the New Testament. NONE of the verses about the resurrection, from Job to Daniel to anything in the New Testament indicate that just new bodies are raised up, as opposed to US being RAISED up. If WE are already in heaven, how can WE be raised up. Also notice, phrases that we use all the time are never used in the New Testament. WE are the ones that say, They've gone on to be with the Lord, or They're in a better place now. No, from Jesus, to Paul, to Job, David, Solomon, they ALL say we rest or sleep.

There's a different kind of created beings though and they are made of smokeless fire . In Islam they are called Jinns. Those are the ones Christians refer to as demons. As much as I love Mark he is missing the mark on this one. I urge you all to read the unseen realm and supernatural buy Dr Michael Heiser. Expertly he will explain and describe according to scripture exactly who they are and what they are and where they came from. Make sure you search out the scriptures. Test every word every Spirit every teaching. Don't just believe everything you hear.
