Literally no one is asking this or cares, but two storeys in an industrial building like that is about 25 - 30 ft (depending on the building) which is considered an immediate danger to life or health under OSHA as most people (not all) that free fall that distance are crippled or dead.

You lose fingers in a lot of horror games because they are, by nature of video games, always close at mind, and are very sensitive due to the density of nerves that run through them to help do shit with your hands

It's also a small limb that you can easily lose and have pretty much little to no problems. If your character were to lose a hand or their leg in the game it'd change the whole way the game plays out

It's also one of the few body parts that are actually constantly in-frame in a first-person game.

Outlast is a funny series. It's such a... relic of it's time. It's hardly scary by today's standards. And in some regards I'd even say its just a higher-budget indie game. But I can't deny that while I can't get passed how campy it is, I do enjoy watching people play it blind. Honestly, if there wasn't so many "BLOOD PUMPING ACTION" sequences, and a bit more of a focus on atmosphere, I think it'd help up a lot better. It also unfortunately made the whole "Flashlight management" trope in horror games more prominent, which is something I will always clown on horror games for, because at NO point does having to 'manage' a light in a horror game make me scared

Pay attention to his eyes. He's only looking at the game about half of the time during quiet moments, and still glances at Twitch chat during chases. That's just part of being a streamer, balancing interaction and gameplay. Same with pacing of gameplay. He rushed through the game for it being his first playthrough. Finishing at least an hour ahead of time. Longplay is the genre of content creators that focus on the game. Many of which don't speak or have a face cam since they're not entertainers.
