Just one thing: graduating successfully isn't necessarily a common goal. Some students might hate high school and can't wait to get out. I know many successful entrepreneurs who didn't graduate successfully who went on to do amazing things and were very successful in life. It's important for students to know grades don't define you :) Also when it comes to student who are nappers I would make sure they've had their blood work done recently to make sure there aren't any underlying health issues like hypothyroidism. Not all students who take a nap first are lazy :(

The correct term is School Counselor...not Guidance Counselor.

Some schools still use Guidance Counselor as the official job title. I know mine does.

@@shilohfelt9976 True, many school districts do, but as school counselors, it's our job to let them know the term is outdated. The American School Counseling Association (ASCA) has been fighting to get that to change.
